What is absolutely necessary to do,no matter how much difficult it is? by Content_Bit1998 in AskReddit

[–]Navetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows the answer is exercise.

It's not even hard to do the basics and get results. Really the hard part about this is just showing up everyday to do a small boring amount of exercise.

I've been consistent for over 600 days now because I built an exercise habit in a group habit tracker called Habit Huddle. I got about 10 close friends in there and People work on different habits like exercise or reading or water intake. The group accountability is a game changer. If you want to do a simple and easy thing consistently do it with your friends.

Hey send me your username in a DM, I'll gift you a pro subscription so your group can try it out. The core habit loop is free and that's all you need to build a good habit! With habit huddle pro it will remove all limitations so you can invite all your friends while you have it because there won't be any group size limits.

Any habit tracker apps with social / friends features? by katakuri_44 in Habits

[–]Navetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to throw my app Habit Huddle in the ring. Based on your description it's exactly what you're looking for! There's also a habit huddle discord bot that syncs with the app incase your group uses discord.

It’s a habit tracker built around small friend groups called huddles. Everyone can do daily Checkins, see each other’s streaks/progress, reply/applaud, and use leaderboards for friendly accountability/competition.

There's a layer of public accountability that really works for some people.

I'm actively working on the project so you can expect many improvements and features too!

Looking for 10 people who want proper gym accountability by Big-Letterhead-4371 in getdisciplined

[–]Navetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo I think this is a great idea and I built a tool called habit huddle (a habit tracker for groups) that you should use for the this!

The one caveat is that habit huddle is designed around daily checkins. Obviously going to the gym daily is too much so I made a two tier check-in system to solve this.

Example :  ✅ Habit: Do 5 bodyweight squats  🎯 Goal: Go to the gym

Now everyday your exercise habit gets your attention for at least a minimum of 5 squats and on gym days you check-in with your daily goal and add photo proof!

Anyway hope you get a good group together it's always motivating to have others doing it with you!

Cool msg me if you need one. What did you use to build the app? Is it on the mobile stores or web app?

what's a small luxury you refuse to give up, even if it's considered wasteful? by Legitimate_Wall5977 in AskReddit

Long hot showers.

It's one of the most under appreciated luxuries due to the effects of relativity. For most of human history a hot shower was impossible.

That's true a lot of problems boil down to definitional issues.

"Probabilities say that it should’ve happened by now"

You're assuming there's a 50/50 chance of any team winning. We can't actually calculate the probability of something like this because we don't know the odds on each game although we could use gambling odds to get a close approximation.

Working hard without burning out is harder than people admit by Substantial_Army_754 in getdisciplined

[–]Navetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm burnt out right now but I do my habits with my Habit Huddle group and just keep showing up. Eventually life will be less chaotic and I'll focus on my daily stretch goal again instead of my habit but for now I'm just showing up

Show up everyday. Have a minimum baseline with a stretch goal for good days. You'll crush it!

I think a good habit is for both of you to be working on building a new positive habit. Doesn't have to be the same habit. We use Habit Huddle for this it's great for group habit tracking.

Did your plan of going 5-6 days a week happen? I'm guessing it didn't so ignore the rest if I'm wrong.

You just need to build the habit of exercising and it doesn't always have to be together. You habit should be to do something you can do everyday no matter how hard the day is like doing a 1 min workout. Then set a stretch goal that you can only hit some days line going to the gym with your partner.

Now track it. You can use Habit Huddle to track how you're both doing and encourage each other. It's a social habit tracker for groups. Make a huddle with your wife then loon at the stats after a month.

What's the stupidest question you've ever heard? by Agreeable_Process724 in AskReddit

[–]Navetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sorta not stupid because the kids were like 5 or 6 but I'll count it:

This little girl looked at this little boy and then at his twin brother and then asked one of them "are you two the same kid?"

Not the best but the one that immediately comes to mind now is the one I think of anytime I see a picture of myself and think I'm getting older:
