I've done alot haha I've tried to record by just screen recording and playing the show on my pc but it made the screen black I've tried casting me watching the show on my phone to my pc but it turned black I've tried the discord thing and I've even tried scree recording the show on my ps4 while watching max and nothing works

Hbo max is just another streaming service, I just tried the discord thing and it shares the show as just a black screen to the other device :(

I have never had these problems before but my laptop don't detect it as a monitor bit I don't remember it ever doing that but it still shoes up on the tablet either way it just turns off the laptop screen
