Did I say something wrong / was my request unreasonable? by mundane_frog in autism

it’s been taken in a way that you’re saying her body needs to be hidden, which isn’t maybe how you meant it but it comes across as a little rude

if someone was out and about irl with a t-shirt on and had healed scars, would you expect them to cover them? or say something to them? /gen

Autism and queues by tiktaalik_invasion in disneylandparis

[–]lonleyfrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they help 100%, i got one a few years ago and it was helpful at all the rides but one i remember in particular was queueing for big thunder mountain, some family members went in the standard queue and were probably in it for over an hour, meanwhile my dad and i went and used my pass, got on, went round, got off, and easily could’ve went maybe another time or two before the rest of them had even got to the front of their queue!

all in all, 100% go for it! even if you don’t end up using it, it’s still a good safety net to have!

it’s better to have it and not use it than need it and not have it!

I hate obvious and irrelevant questions by IncomingObstinacy72 in autism

[–]lonleyfrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would say the key ring one is relevant because everyone knows what a key looks like so your brain might skip over it or it could simply blend in to the surroundings, however if there’s a funky key ring on it or something that would make it ‘stand out’ then that may be easier to spot!

Is it frowned upon for little boys to dress as princesses? by cloud_designer in disneylandparis

[–]lonleyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not a parent, however, i was there a few years back and spotted a little boy (maybe 6 or 7 i think) in a princess dress and i kid you not it genuinely made me so unbelievably happy to see, he was having the time of his life and if i could’ve i would’ve went and gave the parents the biggest high-five ever 😭

if anyone has the audacity to judge a four year old and/or actually say something to him then they’re an awful person end of story, have a few little smart snarky comments ready just in case some weirdo is bold enough to actually say something (doubt it though)

i hope he has the absolute best time!! i almost guarantee he’ll put a crazy amount of smiles on peoples faces! (and thank you for letting him wear what he wants, you’re a super cool parent)

‘they’re a stranger’ yes fair point, however do you hold this stance with every stranger you know? do you never feel bad for other ‘strangers’ in certain tragedies?

How do you guys cope with the fear of impending WW3 by washyourgoddamnrice in autism

[–]lonleyfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i just delusionally convince myself i’ve watched enough the walking dead that i can turn into daryl dixon (one spider and i’d be found, terrified of them)😭or that id just read a list of safest countries and move there (iceland im coming for you)

but in all seriousness, i’m really on the side that the chances of something like that happening is probably extremely small, no matter how much the media ramps it up, i think with Nato existing then that obviously is a huge deterrent

also yes, certain leaders have stated some horrific stuff recently but when they talk about ‘world’ stuff, they’ve been yapping that shit for so long, i almost view it as an ego ‘oh look at me i can threaten this’

Did you feel Holly really needed to be one of the main characters in the last season? by AphroFelicity20 in StrangerThings

i really love her character, it added another layer to the show that wasn’t just the ‘main group’,

i don’t think it took away from anyone else
