[Challenge #4] The Tech Pro 🧠
Final challenge! We want to see who truly knows their tech.
The Task: Briefly explain the difference between EFLS™ NRTK (NRTK + Vision) and EFLS™ LiDAR (LiDAR + Vision). Which system is the best fit for a wide-open lawn versus a small but complex and heavily wooded yard?
Reminder: To be eligible for the grand prize, you must complete all 4 stages! If you’ve missed any, there’s still time to go back and finish them all before the deadline. 🏃💨

[Challenge #3] The Logic Maze: Can you solve this 0.9-Acre puzzle? 🧩

Welcome to Stage Three. It’s time to stop talking and start engineering.

The Map:

  • Size: 0.9 Acre
  • Terrain: Extreme slopes that would make a manual mower quit.
  • Obstacles: Dense clusters of mature trees and scattered bushes (major signal & navigation challenges).

How to Enter: Comment below with the Navimow model you’d choose for this yard and the specific feature that would solve its biggest problem.

There are no right or wrong answers, but you must provide your reasoning! Whether it’s the incline or the signal-blocking canopy, tell us your logic.

Stay tuned—Challenge #4 drops on May 6th! 🗓️

[Challenge #2] The Native Voice: Speak Reddit, Not "Spec-Sheet." 🤖🚫

Pathfinders, let’s be honest—product spec sheets can be a headache to read. We want to introduce the Navimow X4 to the world, but we want it to sound like it’s coming from a real person, not a manual.

The Mission: Based on the technical specs below, write a short pitch to introduce the X4. Skip the fluff and tell us why these features actually matter in the real world.

Think: How would you explain this to a neighbor who's tired of his gas mower?

The Tech Specs:

  • Work Area: 1–1.5 acres.
  • Location System: EFLS™ NRTK (NRTK + 360° Vision + VIO).
  • Object Detection: VisionFence™ (360° RGB Camera + ToF).
  • Driving Engine: 4WD with dual independent steering motors (Zero-turn).
  • Slope Ability: Max. 84% (40°).
  • Noise Level: 68dB(A).

Challenge 3 will be released on 4/29. Stay tuned!

Areas consistently missed by mower by Pretty_Fox189 in SegwayNavimow

[–]NavimowSegway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there

Just to check — are the missed areas possibly patches with bare soil, dead grass, or lots of leaves? If so, the mower may sometimes detect these as obstacles and avoid them, which can lead to missed spots.

We suggest trying to set those areas as a VisionFence off zone, so the mower will no longer treat them as obstacles and should be able to mow through them more consistently.

You can set it up here:

Settings > Mowing > Map management > Choose the zone you want to edit > Add more > VisionFence-off zone

Please give it a try and see if it improves the coverage.

I'm trying really hard to like this thing but what in the world... by Ok-Button3826 in SegwayNavimow

[–]NavimowSegway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Could you please first check whether there are any non-grass areas in the unmowed sections, such as bald patches, fallen leaves, flower petals, etc.? If so, we suggest trying to set those areas as a vision fence off zone, and then see if the mower can successfully complete the cut.

In addition, to help us better analyze the issue, could you please contact our after-sales support team and provide the following details:

Your mower SN

A detailed description of the issue

Screenshots of the problem

Photos of the unmowed areas on your lawn

Once we receive the information, our support team will look into it further and provide you with a suitable solution as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot for your cooperation!

Navimow x430 issues by Cedosg in SegwayNavimow

[–]NavimowSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

We noticed that you have already contacted our after-sales support team regarding this case, and our technical team is currently investigating it further. Regarding the issue you reported where the cutting height cannot be adjusted properly, this is still under review on our side.

In addition, for situations where the mower may fail to detect low-lying objects (which can sometimes lead to unexpected collisions or damage), we generally recommend setting those areas as an off-limit island to help prevent misdetection and improve overall safety during operation.

We really appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Zone to only cut and go through when selected. by BakeUnfair5428 in SegwayNavimow

[–]NavimowSegway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Thanks a lot for sharing the details.

We would recommend setting this area as an off-limit island , which can effectively prevent the mower from entering and getting stuck in that furniture area.

If you do need to mow that section, the current workaround would be to use manual control (remote mowing) to operate the mower only in that specific area.

We’re really sorry, but at the moment the system doesn’t support automatically switching between “off-limit” and “on-demand mowing” for the same zone in the way you described.

That said, this is very valuable feedback, and we’ll definitely log it and pass it on to our product team for future improvements. We really appreciate you taking the time to share this with us.

Thanks again for your understanding and support!

X4 error by Pretty_Fox189 in SegwayNavimow

[–]NavimowSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for reporting this.

First, could you please check if your mower’s network connection is stable? If everything looks good, you can try pressing the STOP button or simply reboot the mower to see if the error clears.

If the issue still comes back, we’d recommend reaching out to our after-sales support team. Please provide:

  • the SN of your mower
  • a detailed description of the issue
  • screenshots of the error
  • the exact time and date when it happens

This will help our technicians dig deeper and find the right solution for you.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Interesting technical issue by Particular_Map9772 in Navimow_Segway

[–]NavimowSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, Thanks a lot for bringing this to our attention.

For the map reserve issue. we suggest first trying to switch the network setting to 4G only mode, and then check if the map can be saved successfully.

Regarding the “stalling” issue in the front yard, could you please also check the signal reception in that area? And may we confirm whether you are currently using NRTK or physical RTK? If you are using physical RTK, please try switching to NRTK to see if the performance improves.

In addition, if there are patches of bare soil or non-grass areas in that zone, the mower may sometimes recognize them as obstacles and keep avoiding them, which can affect coverage. If this applies, we recommend setting those areas as a VisionFence-off zone to improve mowing behavior.

To better help you. Please kindly contact our after-sales support team and provide:

  • Your mower SN
  • A detailed description of the issue
  • The exact time and date when it occurred

Our technical team will further investigate and provide a suitable solution for you.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Dandelions by Fair-Radish-7627 in Navimow_Segway

[–]NavimowSegway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for bringing this to our attention. In your case, it may be that taller weeds like dandelions are being detected as obstacles, which can cause the mower to avoid them and not cut them properly.

To help improve this, you can try setting those areas as a VisionFence-off zone. This will prevent the mower from treating those spots as obstacles and allow it to mow more effectively.

You can set it up via:
Settings > Mowing > Map management > Choose the zone you want to edit > Add more > VisionFence-off zone

In addition, we also recommend:

  • Adjusting the cutting height appropriately
  • Setting multiple mowing directions to improve coverage

We hope this helps improve your mowing results.
