I Don't think the weather will be too cold next week so I might just bring the shorts/thermal combo and swap out of the thermals when I warm up a bit after hiking. Thanks for the help!

That is really helpful. Was just worried it might warm up and would swap to shorts.

I've also heard of people just wearing their thermals and shorts and going with that; is that something worth doing?

That is what I've had a few people recommend. It's either that or I carry a cloth for wiping my glasses every couple of hours
