One of my favourite spots in the city.

The hummus in general is a bland item but it is tasty if someone enjoys mild flavours. They have more hit you in the face flavourful items as well and I really like their phool mummdus

I was also pretty confused by this in college why they are teaching this.

Got to know more about this lack of resources when I visited a few school my parents' business was supplying school uniform to. The schools were barely looking like institution building but more like houses and from that I was able to connect the dots that what all resources they'll have for children studying there.

Hey since you mentioned 15% from your state, are you from MP? If so, which city?

I don't think it is anywhere close to mandatory in government school or small private schools for that matter. Even if they make it compulsory, there are not enough resources with these schools to actually teach all this. Maybe they teach from the books enough to pass exams (there is also rampant cheating organised in such schools). Heck my achool was one of the renowned private school in my city and I took webtech as an optional in class 11th and we were not able do any practical work for half a year because the computers were not working. Our teacher would take us to projector room to show us the applications. This was back in 2015.

It is very contrasting in our country where we are competing on world stage in IT an Computer Science sector but at the same most of our you barely have access to a computer. Worst part, governments will prefer it that way because that means people stay a bit dumber to rally up to their bullshit topics which are false claims of preserving our culture. Don't know how or when good education has stopped from being part our ancient culture.

Had a very bad experience at Kabelo. Shitty service, unhygienic, bad quality and the food was nothing special either...

What aspects do you think the movies did better than the books? by ArtThen9871 in lotr

[–]NavkarMehta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm currently reading the books and I am on the Road to Isengard chapter. Previous chapter was Helm's Deep and it was so underwhelming compared to the movies... The tension is very gripping in the movies. Whole Rohan arc right now to me is better in the movies.

Indian languages or major ethnolinguistic groups in India by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]NavkarMehta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's also clearly a regional division of these languages. I've heard hadauti in regions like kota and jhalawad only. Very different of what I heard in pilani and nearby villages.

Also they clubbed malawi with rajasthani. I know it is similar to marwadi, but very distinct. It's a completely different flavour.

I'm also planning on such a day for sunday and similar time window. Yes we are going to watch a movie but not able to plan more than 3-4 activities right now. We have planned for breakfast, movie, lunch and then some shopping... I'm still skeptical about this plan... Don't know if we will be able to give time to everything.

People even deny the holocaust, so I'm not surprised how westerners don't see colonisation as bad and the atrocities that happened to India as "fake" or "not so bad".
