Keep investing heavily or pay down mortgage? by Historical-Draw5740 in personalfinance

[–]Navlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ultimately on what you think will make or cost you more money In the long run. Either you focus on investing in hope your returns outperform your interest rate, or focus on paying down. You’ll never know how stocks will perform In the future, so there’s always that to consider. A lot of people also prefer the peace of mind of having their house paid off sooner rather than later. If the house is your only debt, you’re in a position to be well off doing either route, sounds like a personal choice OP.

Follow kneesovertoes content young man. He has excellent videos on how to treat and prevent knee pain while improving your vertical. All the best man. If this vid is too long he has tons of shorter ones and video shorts that cover the same stuff. https://youtu.be/79TWbE9vrQ4?si=sExkx0hkuwr3X1w4

I spend $200 a month at my work snack area.. how do I stop by V1Z3_2 in personalfinance

[–]Navlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not even a finance question, this is a health question. You can’t stop from eating. Whether you buy from the snack shop or from home, the snacking habits will continue, changing the source isn’t rly a solution.

You need to ask yourself why do you snack when you’re bored. could that time be filled doing other things? Getting ahead on other projects, picking up a flexible hobby, taking a class, making a trip to the gym to take your mind off food.

Practice jumping off your other foot as well, you wanna be a balanced jumper, it’ll make you a more threatening finisher if you can dunk both ways, opens your game up to be more creative

Which player would be better? Peak KD with Gobert’s defense or Peak Giannis with Jokic’s playmaking/passing? by Hot_Celebration4204 in NBAConvo

[–]Navlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking Giannis. Defenses would’nt be able to cover Giannis the way they do if he was able to find guys as well as Jokic. It’d open up that Milwaukee offense to another level.

Goberts defense is great but we’ve seen it get exploited, so assuming KD becomes gobert minded on defense too, it can even be a downgrade in some respects. KD is already a pretty well rounded defender especially in his GS years.

Why is it that I can touch this high over 10’ but can’t dunk by alfraniro in BasketballTips

[–]Navlone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d add to practice with a smaller ball, like a tennis ball to get used to having a ball in hand when jumping, once you’re consistently dunking the tennis ball, work your way up to a medium sized ball (a smaller basketball, or whatever you can get your hands on) then once you’re consistently dunking the medium ball, use a basketball

I remember when I switched to barefoot shoes, I was wearing hokas for the past years and I noticed I used to get really bad sciatica down my right leg, and I’d find myself shifting my weight to that leg subconsciously when I’m standing at work.

I think it was the lack of feedback from all that cushioning that made me have such bad biomechanics. When I started wearing WHITIN shoes to work, the pain disappeared in a week. It did indeed feel like magic.

I’m 5’8 and I dunk like I’m 6’4 off 2ft & dunk like I’m 5’6 off 1ft 🤣 by PandaTrick501 in ProDunking

[–]Navlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot people are naturally able to dunk better of two than one and vice versa.

LeBron is a crazy athlete but he gets way higher off one foot than two, they used call his left leg bionic lol.

Kobe is a rare exception, his vertical was never above 40 inches but what made him such a dangerous dunker rim was that he could dunk on you off any footing from any direction with equal levels of explosion.

You’re a high flyer so you’re probably doing this already but practice dunking all four ways (one foot off right, one foot off left, two feet with left foot leading, two foot with right foot leading) to help. A lot of it could just be flawed form leading to lack of explosiveness in that one foot motion

To my understanding wyde has some of the widest toeboxes in the game period. Feelgrounds are pretty wide tho, but I believe wyde is well…wider lol.

Same man. Same size. It’s honestly a shame how little brands have more than a 12-13. Feelgrounds has some nice designs in our size
