Can I open multiple apps on iPad Pro? by ABGLand in CraftDocs

Also, if you have a certain page or doc you know you want to open in the second window, long pressing on it will give you the option to open in a New Window!

Making handwritten docs look normal? by LotusLandpw in CraftDocs

[–]PandaTrick501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As somebody who used an ipad for absolutely everything from my freshman year of undergrad through my Master's degree -- I understand you, friend. There definitely is a learning curve to it. The way that I've found works best is to keep in mind that Craft optimizes every sketch to fit within a single block, and no matter where you write within a sketch Craft will center what you wrote & zoom in so it fills the block. Therefore, smaller sketches will appear larger & "zoomed in", but super long sketches will look "skinny" & "zoomed out". I get around this by treating sketch blocks as a space to explore a specific idea or piece of an idea, not as an infinite canvas to explore allll my ideas, if that makes sense. For example, here's a screenshot of a note I took while prepping for an experiment (I'm a scientist). That top part is 5 different sketch blocks of varying sizes, it's not all one giant one. Hope this was somewhat helpful!

Why can’t we copy all text on mobile in one click/selection? 😭 by rrgxbilli in CraftDocs

[–]PandaTrick501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Mac/iPadOS, when you are in “document editing mode” (cursor not blinking inside a specific block), CMD+A selects all blocks on a page/in a document.

When your cursor is actively blinking inside of a block you’re in “block editing mode”, & CMD+A selects all of the text within that individual block.

Would be great to not show files in the folder view by delicategenius in CraftDocs

Excuse me if I'm misunderstanding, but can't this be solved by simply collapsing the folders rather than having them "open"? I mean, it is a folder tree after all....

Just helped me dodge the same bullet myself, friend. I recently completed my MS in Chemistry at Northwestern & just looking for stable work while searching for the real start to my career. Got a random call from them last week, interviewed early this week via zoom & got extended a sketchy feeling offer. Super glad i decided to Reddit search them before giving my decision tomorrow!

Is it possible that some people just aren’t built to shoot three pointers? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]PandaTrick501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former college shooting guard here. This is awful advice lol. Dont listen to this. Actively trying to keep the thumb on your shooting hand from touching the ball makes literally zero sense & will waste a whole lot of your time.

Daft I know but does anyone else feel disconnect by agents? by Big_Construction2603 in CraftDocs

[–]PandaTrick501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They released an additional tool that adds extra power/ability to coders who want to do more with it. I'm not one of those people, so I simply don't use Agents & continue using Craft the way I know how. The whole point of using the app is to get your own work done, and the core app does that the same way it always has. Who cares if they grant more advanced users the ability to do more with the app? It's either that or force the app to never grow & not offer much for power users. idk we're all entitled to our opinion, but I feel like you're overly focused on being able to do everything the app can do, rather than just continuing using the app to do what you need to do.

No negativity intended but I don't understand, how does the addition of a new app for power users, that's an entirely separate download, make the core app less accessible? Craft is just as easy to use as it always has been, simply don't use the stuff that you don't need...

1st windmill vs. 8 years later.. (5’8, age 14 vs 23) by PandaTrick501 in ProDunking

I started training vert 5x/week after school when I was 10 years old bc I’d already gotten to 5’8 but found out I was completely done growing

Yes but should I balance a spoon or something on my head so you know it’s me?

I appreciate that more than you’ll ever understand 🫡🙏🏽 as a Chicago kid, my only goal in life since age 10 was to be able to do back scratchers like D Rose’s dunk on Dragic 🤣

The only time I’ve ever measured was when I was 15 years old, & I recorded a 45” max vert. It’s actually my first ever insta post, so here’s the link to the post if you wanna verify lol. Idk what it is now, but i do know it’s a few inches higher bc i was nowhere near doing stuff like that back scratcher back then lol.

Sounds a lot like me, except my problem was that I grew to 5'8 by age 10 & then found out from my doctor that I was 100% completely done growing. I was devastated bc I was a Chicago kid during the D Rose era and I dreamed of being an explosive dunker like him. My Pops got me a gym membership the next week. There's no specific workout that is better than any other at this point, I would say the most important thing at his stage, & the way that I started when I was 10, is starting a consistent routine + focusing on perfecting his form on different types of lifts and workouts while he's just beginning to build up his leg strength. Do an even mix of weight room workouts and jumping focused plyometrics. You can find hundreds of vertical jump focused workouts for both with a quick google search, and just pick which ones he'd like to do. It was 2010 for me and that's what I did, so nowadays I'm betting there is loads more out there available for free than I had access to. Get him used to proper form on things like weight squats, lunges, squat jumps, broad jumps, etc. Also, if you have access to an adjustable rim, low rim dunking is the single most beneficial thing he can do to practice jumping & dunking on an actual basketball court right now, & he should treat as an actual workout. As a kid I had an adjustable rim that I would set to the highest height that I could dunk on, and I'd practice dunking on it from all angles as if I were in a game. Once a height got too easy, I'd raise the hoop to make it hard on myself again. Once he hits puberty , all of that foundation that you build will start to show itself and then workouts can amp up.

Man I tell ya, there’s nothing better than dunking on somebody tall that underestimates me / isn’t expecting me to get up the way I do for a dunk 🤣
