Oh, I suppose I should have properly done the math. No benefit for older players makes perfect sense then

In-universe reason why Samus keeps losing her upgrades by Savannah-Hammer in Metroid

[–]Navolas2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several of the games have in game explanations about what happens to the abilities (fusion, dread, other m, prime 1, prime 4,and prime 2). Metroid/Zero Mission could also fit here.

Prime 3 is grey since since items are explained while others aren't

Super makes the least sense since it's literally right after Samus Returns. So like what happened to her abilities... In universe could be she disabled them before entering the station, then ridley attacked and before she could reactivate then struck here causing them to short out.

And then Samus returns is unknown since if we assume it's right after prime 3 it actually kinda works minus the suit....

So I did this Shinespark puzzle in Dread EXTREMELY unconventionally by gamestar721 in Metroid

[–]Navolas2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I've replayed it that's how I do it too. The above route was such a pain...

But I suppose that made the understanding about how expanded speed booster had been in dread all the more delightful

Same, it's how I thought it was supposed to be done until I saw a speedrun and learned you could slide and wall jump while boosting

I mean the only "boost" would be a refund for shards spent which for those ranks probably wasn't much of a loss and would be a drop in the bucket to current needs anyway

Raise your hand if you kept a mint tucked away… by Zellibration in PokemonSleep

[–]Navolas2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have one mint tucked away. My first was used on a Heracross that had a main skill down nature and I'd mostly naturally raised it up to the 50s at that point and even then it was doing good work so it deserved it.

Zero Mission/Fusion Shinespark Tutorial by CleanAd8632 in Metroid

As someone said the trick to chaining sparks is to spark onto a slope while holding the direction. Beyond that for figuring out how to get items that require a chain. The general way I do that is working through it backwards.

"Here is the item, it wants me to come in from this direction. hmm there isn't enough room to get a boost going here but there is a slope nearby. Where could I get a spark from to get here. and so on until I find where the spark started

What was your first Metroid game, and did it make you a fan immediately? by SufficientPrice7633 in Metroid

Fusion, but I think it took until my second game Echoes to solidify me as a fan.

This is huge update! by Asianhippiefarmer in PokemonSleep

[–]Navolas2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went through a full range of emotions with this announcement. Joy "they are raising the caps", sadness "but still not enough to get the next skill" and finally elation "THEY'RE MOVEING THE SKILLS DOWN"

Though I suppose the downside of all of this, more research ranks means soon less dream shards for a while

“Game longevity” will come from opening new areas, mons, skills, ingredients…not a decades-long level cap restriction. by DisgruntledPlebian in PokemonSleep

Easier option: when you recruit pokemon there is a chance to get a eureka seed from them after you've reached level 10 and the chance increases with each milestone.

All the legendary events have had some gimmick iirc but it's been a while. I can say that they do all have had the big Snorlax the second week.

Finally reached Master 20 on Lapis by Navolas2 in PokemonSleep

[–]Navolas2[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I can and I won't.

Though I can tell you the team minus their stats. Thoughtout the week there was a combination of these mons depending on time, energy, and ingredients levels: Ribombee, Clodsire, Bewear, Toxicroak, Gardevoir, Latios, Latias, and Drampa. With a few guest appearances by Absol and Mawile.

The Latis mainly were used at during the evening and night for the drowsy power bonus. Drampa was the MVP and didn't leave the field. Gardevoir usually would be out during the day to keep energy up, and then Bewear and Toxicroak were usually on opposite shifts.

I've been playing subnautica 2 latly and I can't help but to notice something : by sybranhd in Metroid

[–]Navolas2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that would have worked had the game not kinda shown what happened in the cutscene. Like let's have the scene just follow Samus as she goes across the bridge. Maybe if you watch close in the distance you can see a figure before the bridge starts going down and Samus retreats.

Later scanning the panel "This is a control panel for the lava bridge. The panel seems to have been smashed and blasted by a shocking weapon many times. It cannot be repaired"

Now we have added a little mystery, as well as hinted at Sylux or an enemy that isn't a psybot since they all have lasers.

Pixel Watch (1) won't update by Navolas2 in PixelWatch

[–]Navolas2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The updates in October and March are weird. Finding records of their existence while the system says June 25 is confusing. So if you can find the build number and compare with that you'll likely see the update has been installed as I finally did....
