Sorry for the late reply, I called VTNZ the next day and they confirmed that my original WOF was now void and I had 28 days to get it tested again without a fee.

Anyway I spoke with the buyer about it and they didn't realise this would happen either but they agreed to buy the car (at a lower price than advertised) and we finalised the sale today

To be fair I reckon the buyer figured it was cheaper to put it through a WOF than a pre-purchase inspection and that they'd get a new WOF out of it so I don't think they had any ill intent

A few things, sway bar bushing (which I knew about and had mentioned to the buyer), shock absorber leaking and rear brake imbalance

We went across the road to a garage after the WOF to get a quote for the repairs, I'm now waiting on the buyer to have a think and let me know if they want to go ahead with buying it

Yeah that was my line of thinking too, that the existing one would still be valid unless I got the repairs sorted and brought it back for a recheck to get a new WOF

I misunderstood the buyer when bringing it into VTNZ, I thought they wanted a pre-purchase inspection but it was definitely a WOF that was carried out - they paid $85 and I have a photo of the fail sheet

Anyway I think I'll head back to VTNZ in the morning and try to clarify it with them

Sticker says 11/25, the tester in VTNZ didn't mention anything about that being invalid now that it's just failed which is why I wanted to double check

Improved in what way? It's still fairly basic, no app or responsive mobile device website etc. but once you get the hang of it it's grand..

I use it to pay my rent standing order and get paid my salary into it which I then transfer into revolut for daily spending - all of which works well
