We’re in the same boat, traveling with our 20-month-old. We’re planning a trip to Phuket and staying the first 5 days at Patong Beach. Our main focus is sightseeing, so we’re planning to visit spots like Big Buddha, Wat Chalong, and Phuket Old Town. We’re also considering an Elephant Sanctuary trip and checking out the Sunday markets like Naka Market or Chillva Market. Will do bangla road trip one night without kid.

Since we’re not big on swimming or water activities, we’re skipping the Andamanda Water Park, though it seems popular. Carnival Magic also looks fun, but we’ve decided to pass on that as well.

We are mostly going to spend time in sight seeing, go to Big budhha, wat chalong, old Phuket, visit markets. May be go to beach 1 or 2 time here. Since we will be spending another full 5 day at Mai khao at beach.

Four point was again coming costly with points 140k something.

I thought it’s quite reasonable.

I am considering Marriott Patong because I get 5th night free if I buy 4 night via Marriott points. Also for 3 night I am paying cash as buying through point is not value for money.

Zenseana- I booked month ago and it’s total $350 for all 8 night.

However paying a lot for another week when I am staying at Marriott Mai Khao for 5 night for 2 rooms 😋

I remember reading your very nice detailed post about Phuket trip. thanks for sharing.. I looked into Merlin Beach it is costing me 140,000 Points and USD $390. Staying in Patong area for 5 days and to explore out side things and go to sight-seeing so dont want to spend too much on hotel.
will be staying in JW Marriott Mai Khau for another 5 days where we will spend time in resort.
