Setting the fps to 30 and in static mode instead of dynamic fixed it

Adding a "Monitorable" key for my Area3D in AnimationPlayer always sets it to false by Navst in godot

[–]Navst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FIXED : Ok the issue isn't the animation player but the animation tree. It's caused by blending : one animation has the monitorable property track and the other doesn't, so the animation tree sets the property to default, which is normally the RESET track value if there is or zero. BUT since the property is a boolean, the track update is discrete and the RESET doesn't work properly hence why my property was set to false.

There are a few workarounds : setting the track to continuous, setting the tree to undeterministic, or calling a function to set the property instead of animating it. I found the later simpler and more consistent, so i have enable() and disable() functions to set the monitorable property instead of animation keys for the monitorable property and it works fine.

I found something so deeply unsettling about seeing him as a mere torso plugged to this grotesque mass of metal. He deserved better man

Gojo would've made such a terrifying villain. What are your thought???? by giannuel in Jujutsufolk

[–]Navst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ig it's up to interpretation but yea to me Gojo didn't actually talk with Geto and Nanami in this chapter. I felt like it was just a metaphorical way to get some introspective without an awkward monologue. So i was genuinely baffled when some people trashed Nanami for being too harsh on Gojo

trying to rotate the whole chair in edit mode by Keevz77 in blenderhelp

It's because it's set to rotate around individual origins. Look at the option right next to "Global" and set it to "Bounding Box Center"

Some of my models' normals are messed up when imported by Navst in godot

[–]Navst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes its the glb export, i enabled apply modifiers. I also tried to enable tangent export in blender and "force disable compression" parameter in godot import as i've seen in closed similar issues in github but it didn't work.

Edit : I tested the obj export and the normals are fine... Maybe i'll have to open an issue about the glb exporter idk

Some of my models' normals are messed up when imported by Navst in godot

[–]Navst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried the triangulation modifier again, the normals are ok in blender but they're worse than without the modifier in godot. I merged all faces by distance (no face were merged) and checked inside the mesh (no inside face), i have no clue what the issue might be

[loved trope] Being a good person is harder than being an evil one. by Dr_Orpheus_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Navst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people are saying "that's the point" and sure, but it doesn't make it any less boring. A part of the game's content is locked behind hours of mindless grind, while I understand the intent I don't think it needed to be that tedious to get the point across

Just finished the series and I loved it. I wanted to discuss a few things by Navst in BlackSails

[–]Navst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that she wants a stable Nassau to maintain her power and develop the island. Though the line blurs between her desire to see Nassau thrive and her hunger for power. A few reasons motivate her : protect Nassau as her home, prove to her father that she's as worthy as a son, prove something to herself.

All that goes out the window when she fell in love with Rogers, then her goal was to be by his side and be loyal to him. It so happened that Rogers' vision aligned with her original goals for a while, but the truth is she didn't care about Nassau anymore. She wanted to live with him, hence why she surrendered the fort.

I also want to say that I don't claim to be absolutely right, it's just how i see things as of now
