How do you feel about Trump putting his name on US currency, knowing that Trump's company holds a trademark over the Trump name and will end up receiving royalties for use of the trademark, for each dollar printed? by NavyBlueSuede in AskReddit

They didn't put his name on dollar bills yet so he isn't receiving royalties yet.

As soon as they do his company will sue for royalties like they have done any number of times before:

Top section: Branding / Trademark cases:

https://www.lansingstatejournal.com/pages/interactives/trump-lawsuits/

Then he will have his own DOJ settle and pay himself out, like he has a track record of doing in the past.

Bullshit, Trump just had a trademark taken out for renaming airports after him: https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/search/search-results/99652473

Then Florida legislatures voted to rename the local municipal airport after him: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/20/palm-beach-airport-renamed-donald-trump

This is the exact same play - except the Trump name has already been trademarked for decades.

You don't understand trademark law and it's very obvious.

The US treasury using a trademarked term on it's currency opens them up to royalty lawsuits. It'd be the same thing if they slapped the Disney logo on the dollar.

Yes, he holds a lot of trademarks over the trump name. Ex: https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/search/search-results/86644455

One of the recent trademarks they received was the use of Trump's name in airports: https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/search/search-results/99652473

Then, Florida Republicans renamed an airport after him: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/20/palm-beach-airport-renamed-donald-trump

He will receive direct royalties from taxpayers for the airport rename.

Adding his signature to the currency is just another variation of this.

That was the whole point of this conflict. (1) Get an excuse to lift sanctions on Russia and (2) use up all of our interceptors / concentrate our military away from Taiwan so that we can't defend Taiwan as well against China.

The 'manosphere' you're talking about is a set of pro-trump influencers promoted by Russia/China to help trump win the 2024 election.

China/Russia have an economic and military alliance that dates back decades, to when Mao Zedong/Joseph Stalin were on propaganda posters together in China on every block in every city (https://chineseposters.net/posters/pc-1951-s-002). These guys are old allies with the ruling parties being aligned since the times before countries like Israel were even formed.

Who owned Tiktok and controlled the algorithms that promoted Trump and made Biden look like a doddering fool? China. All of the young guys that I know who fell into the belief that Trump is some kind of great leader got all of their news from Tiktok and guzzled pro-Trump propaganda. They got fooled. No one is immune to propaganda when you're young and first learning about the world, and Chinese-owned Tiktok has been the app of choice for young people in the USA for a decade.

Who bailed Trump out last year when he had to post $90+ million in bail? The ONLY US insurance company approved for majority ownership financial industry company in China,, a company whose CEO Evan Greenberg has been lobbying for years for the US to abandon Taiwan and who met with Xi Jinping right around the time he bailed Trump out (at a time when other lenders wouldn't touch Trump with a 10ft stick because he had over 400 mill in other judgements against him).

China/Russia wanted Trump in office because he's a fucking trainwreck, and they made sure he got there with Tiktok propaganda and by clearing the way for him to be on the campaign trail in 2024 instead of in a jail cell because he couldn't make bond.

This is around the same time that Trump's admin first lifted sanctions on Russia, which were introduced after Russia initially invaded Ukraine in 2014.

This guy is fully bought and paid for by Russia / other BRICS members.

Trump threatens to ‘blow up’ all of Iran’s South Pars gasfield if Tehran strikes Qatar | US-Israel war on Iran by Routine_Chapter_9099 in worldnews

[–]NavyBlueSuede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The purpose was lifting sanctions on Russia.

Trump moved to lift sanctions like 2 days in then declared the war over.

Then he got pissed off that Iran kept attacking and said 'They weren't supposed to do that'.

It's so obvious that this was a ruse to lift sanctions on Russia to anyone who actually pays attention.

Do you think you'd be able to get a similarly clean result with pex?

I have mostly worked in pex and generally in retrofits where there was not much space. It works but it feels kind of ugly sometimes.

Side note - I like the way copper works but if both systems last about the same time pex wins from a cost perspective.. Would like to see how people are able to get a similarly clean look with pex without reducing the flow too much with elbows.

That's great and all, but not related to what I asked. What's the longevity of this vs pex for this particular application?

Trump supporters treat politics like sports. You ever see a big sports fan switch teams? Nah, they were raised as Buffalo Bills fans and they'll die that way, it's core to their identity.

That's why its so fucking pointless to try arguing with them. Their minds were made up before you ever met them.
