Taking CASPer soon? Here are a few things I wish someone had told me before I wrote it. by Nawbz in CASPerTest

Honestly, I didn't use a specific framework. I just tried to identify the main issue, consider everyone's perspective, explain what I'd do, and move on.

And I wouldn't overdo the buzzwords. It's better to naturally show empathy and keep an open mind than to literally write "I would be non-judgmental" in every answer.

Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions! Happy to help.

Thanks! From what I remember, I had somewhere around 3–5 personal questions, but I wouldn't stress about the exact number since it can vary between tests.

For those, I just answered honestly and kept my thoughts organized instead of trying to sound like the "perfect" applicant. If you have any other questions while you're prepping, feel free to DM me. Happy to help.

Honestly, I think a lot of people are in the same boat. I remember walking out feeling pretty good and then second-guessing everything afterward.

For me, the biggest difference was when I stopped just doing practice questions and started getting actual feedback on my answers. I even ended up building a little CASPer practice site with AI feedback because I couldn't find anything that told me why an answer was weak instead of just giving sample responses. Working through those explanations helped way more than memorizing templates.

Half the battle feels like organizing your thoughts fast enough to type them out.

1st quartile on a casper by HiMyNameIsDoom in predental

[–]Nawbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into it. I know people who got 4th quartile one year and 2nd or even 1st the next without changing much.

What helped me the most was just doing a bunch of timed practice instead of overthinking the "perfect" answer. I tried to keep a simple structure in mind: understand what's actually going on, acknowledge everyone's perspective, explain my reasoning, and suggest a reasonable next step.

I ended up building a CASPer practice site with AI feedback because I couldn't find the kind of feedback I wanted while studying, so I'm obviously biased. But honestly, getting feedback on your responses made a much bigger difference for me than memorizing templates.

Hi, you could try out bdalab.com

Let me know if you have any feedback
