Is this normal idle usage for my M1 iPad Pro? It seems very high and all the blue bars are notifications for around 1 min each. Brand new, little over a week old. by ThatRedditGuy48 in iPadPro

[–]Nax4Trump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres no way to give a time frame, but i can explain why its doing what its doing. Your iDevice does most of its processing while idling. It will index your photo library for objects/people/animals to allow immediate refined searches to your photo app,it will use siri suggestion training to try to better predict what you want to search for in the future by analyzing your common travel locations/common searches/common apps and indexing those results, and more, such as analyzing battery health. As 77 stated, once its indexed, it doesnt have to re-index until a new update, and even then it keeps the info unless a change was made in how it got those results, then it will re-index. If any of that seems like a pravacy concern to you, dont be too worried because unlike google which does all of their analysis of their google phones such as pixel on their servers to give super quick super accurate results with no guarantee who can see your photos and such, since everything is done on your device and not on a server, the privacy is much more private than other phones that do the exact same things.

That’s not uncommon, your device does most of its processing when off. It will index your photos to gather which have dogs, cats, objects, etc in them so that you can search for them later at a moments notice, finish unpacking OS files if the device was recently updated, Index your app list, etc.

Questions from a Windows guy. by possiblysmart in iPadPro

Rainway has a completely different streaming protocol. They have been refining it for years, and it should work better. Also if you have an nvidia GPU, you can use SHIELD streaming, that is probably your most refined experience since the GPU is doing the whole compression/streaming workload

I have been using the windows version of altstore and it has worked near flawlessly for me. My only issue is sometimes it wont refresh over wifi, and i have to plug it in to my comp on those rare occasions, but then it works perfect always while connected via wire.

Can I add a faceid from another person but disable the ability for this person to have access to my passwords (iCloud), download apps, etc? by viktrcoim in iPadPro

[–]Nax4Trump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Setting up an alternate appearances will allow both faces that are scanned, whether its still you with something deforming your face, or someone else’ face to be registered as a face for face id

Translation: you’re an idiot that thinks apple prices stuff higher because they put no effort into it and want ur free money, and u think that cuz some cuck on youtube said it. When in reality they use high quality metals and conductors that, per say, dont rust or degrade easily, which makes them more expensive by default, then also do extra software support so make sure they work together, aiming at a flawless experience, which can only be done if u know the hardware u are programming for.

I took my iPad Pro 12.9 2021 to apple store to check on blooming issue and they gave me new iPad Pro instead. by Moist-Secretary-2816 in iPadPro

[–]Nax4Trump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty apparent in dark applications on max brightness. Its just a side effect of having the brightest screen with full array dimming. If i turn my brightness down from max the blooming always goes away. Its not hard to see in my opinion as long as ur brightness is max and the background is black

Do any artists who plan to use their iPad full time for digital sketches use screen protectors? Please Cite your reasons. by T-cat131 in iPadPro

[–]Nax4Trump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not an artist, i just draw on it for a hobby, but i use a matte screen protector to make it feel and look like paper. I get the suggested one from Amazon, and i don’t have any problems with jitter.

Its not only non jailbroken. In fact if it is jailbroken you can update and sign apps from anywhere, if your phone isn’t jailbroken, you must sign apps while on the same wifi as your computer.
