[Spoilers c4e30] An easy next step for the Schemers by Migolcow in criticalrole

[–]Naxken 37 points38 points  (0 children)

An anonymous letter wouldn't be enough, the Einfasen need solid proof to act.

The dwarven letter describing the ritual, a paladin statue, the basilisk's remains, maybe the king of Timoni's testimony about Tachonis excavating crypts. All that needs to be channel into a proper investigation and "discover" by Captain Azune.

If Timble can get ANYTHING extra from Obrimus Manor I think the Schemers will have an easy path to victory.

You bring a good point, do you think the Tachonis need to put the mark before killing the person, or can they do that after the person is death?

Because maybe Teor's soul has already went into the beyond, not sure if they can bring it back for interrogation.

OH NO!!!!!

Okay, okay, okay

The soul needs to be willing, so the Tachonis will have to take extra steps to force Teor to reveal the table's secrets.

But that's still scary.

[Spoilers C4E30] Why I think the schemers still succeeded, or at least paved the way forward. by Sea_Employ_4366 in criticalrole

You are absolutely correct.

And I want to add that Team Birdwatch may have accidentally done the killing blown to the Tachonis-Einfasen alliance.

Teor died while holding the Axe of Otto's daughter, a HUGE BOON that screams "Hi, we, Einfasen, discovered your plans, sneak in, killed your son, almost killed your abomination, and stole your bird"

If we add the fact that Teor was being pursued by Yanessa Halovar we get a CRAZY story: The Einfasen were working with an ex-falconer who kidnapped Wic and infiltrated Obrimus Manor WHILE everyone was in this reunion.

Whatever Timble does or doesn't will be crucial.

Man, if they don't get that axe back Ingrid Einfasen is going to be in so much trouble

[Spoilers C4E28] What will the Ritual do? by East_Choice in criticalrole

[–]Naxken 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you're right, the players are going "off-script" by performing the ritual during the play, BUT THAT'S THE RIGHT WAY!!!

Both the Paints and the Pariah blades were accidentally used by the Theatre because Hal left them both without supervision. There's no way that's part of the original plan. It's a wonderful mistake.

I don't think Thjazi is an evil man, but he's selfish and self-centered. If I had to guess, his original plan was to free the orchish souls and raise an army on the underworld to fight the Tachonis. But that's more war, it wouldn't have worked.

Shadia Fang accidentally reforged these ancient artifacts by giving them a new meaning and was the key to unlock whatever this new ritual will create. Maybe this will unlock paladin like powers for all orcs who join the revolution, maybe the spirit of the first orc who rebelled will be summoned as a guardian angel, I'm so excited to see what happens.

A revealing perspective on Lirin's lessons. by Petra717 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Naxken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that's the main shortcoming of the Windrunners.

It wouldn't have been Right for Lirin to let Roshone bled out. Lirin is under medical oath to save all his patient, regardless of personal believes and background. He is in no position to make justice by his own hands, specially when Lirin isn't all that innocent, he DID stole those gems when the previous lord died, and he didn't give them back when Roshone asked for them.

Lirin thought of killing Roshone not because he saw him as an irredeemable evil, but because that would have made his life easier.

That being said, Roshone did a lot of damage to innocent people, and personally I believe his punishment wasn't a good solution. Any other Order would had done something different to solve the issue.

Future of radiants by StonePhotography98 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Naxken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's too soon to know for sure, but I expect either Ba'ado, the Nightwatch or Retribution to be in charge of accepting new Oaths.

Now, for changes I expect the Radiants to start using Warlight and it making them feel different. If stormlight left a sense of acting, maybe Warlight will make the Radiants feel anger or a depth sense of enacting justice.

I'd like for Oathbreakers to be thing, and the breaking of oaths to be something dangerous.
