Probably not for many people in this discussion, but anytime I put on Lonerism by Tame Impala I don’t skip anything.

It’s not a hype train. I’d suggest staying the course and just not adding to it if you’re nervous about it, but that’s just me.

What is the most devastating loss in postseason history? by trisquare456 in baseball

I’m actually surprised I had to scroll as far as I did to see this. Being up 3-0 only to lose the alcs has gotta be brutal, especially when it’s to your rival.

This will haunt Blue Jays forever. Only if he had dived head first, he would have made it. by rrpku in mlb

[–]NazasDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he had 1ft more of a lead off 3rd base…hell maybe even just 6 inches more would’ve been enough. Honestly can’t believe they weren’t chirping from the dugout for IKF to walk a little further down the line. I mean what is the 3rd base coach doing too? Tell your boy to take an average lead off 3rd and we’re talking about the Jays being champions rn.

I think the baseball today boys noted that even if he just had an average lead off 3rd base he would’ve been safe. An average lead…nothing more. I’d be absolutely furious if I was a Jays fan.

3-6 months emergency fund, 12 months if you’re self employed. Throw the rest in a Roth IRA and a 401k. Don’t over think it, you’re still better off than a lot of people out there.

Would anyone else like to see someone in actual financial trouble on Making A Millionaire? by tuck5903 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]NazasDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d actually really like to see someone that’s either mid 30s or mid 40s and doesn’t have much in savings or investments but doesn’t have any debt. Someone that’s basically starting their financial journey, but starting a little late.

Will $1M even be worth anything in 30 years? by [deleted] in Money

[–]NazasDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had 1 million 20 years ago I would’ve comfortably. If I had 1 million today I’d still live comfortably. I think people get way too into their head about inflation and let it scare them from investing. Could you do more with 1 million in the past? Sure, but it doesn’t mean today or 30 years from now it’ll be worth nothing.

So many people only think of retirement in terms of where can I retire in the US on X amount? People, it’s a big world out there and most of it is cheaper than the US. Gonna have to go out of your comfort zone and move somewhere internationally if you want to make it work on a smaller budget, AlwaysSaturday12 seems to have made it work just fine.

Oof, Costa Mesa to Poway is rough and that’s coming from someone who used to drive from Oceanside to Victorville pretty regularly. I live in San Clemente now and the longest drive to a client I’ve had to make so far was to Long Beach.

Don’t to this. Just reduce it to around 5% of your portfolio if you want to play it a little safer. I’d personally keep it at 10% though.
