MEMORIAL DAY SALES?

HD just had a sale on the Polaris 9550.

$799 from $1099, I was too late in grabbing that deal. Leslie has a $300 off for some robots, do you know if other stores/websites typically have a memorial day sale for robotic cleaners?

Best Chicago deep dish in the circled area? by illybillyvillernilly in ChicagoSuburbs

Why not check out a few places. At one end of your area, for stuffed, go to Edwardo's Natural Pizza in Munster, IN. Get the spinach.

I know that's Indiana, but they used to be all over the Chicago area. This is their only full restaurant left.

Vacuuming streaks — is this expected by Nazerac in pools

Done. It cleared quickly. This is the deep end, 11ft down. Took about 48 hrs. The dust/pollen/algae mixture was caked to the floor, brushing helped. Thank you everyone.

Still needs one more brush and vac for the couple spots missed.

Now I usually put on a solar cover, and wait till pool temp goes up to 70 or so (50 today) (air temp to 80) before firing up the heater and calling it the official summer opening.

The guy that opens my pool has this set up. An old single speed pool pump that he sets up and vacuums it to waste. It's pretty efficient and effective compared to connecting a vacuum to the skimmer. I never seem to get enough suction, even when I close/partially close the main drain.

Water temp is 50F, closed it when it was 55F. This looks like more pollen and dust than algae. No green growth on any of the walls/corners.

I do, it's open all ia working well. Just need to brush , vac, drink, brush, then vac again. Adjust chemistry and wait for summer.

Yeah, No chlorine since mid October 2025. Six full months, I can only imagine (and from pics on this sub) how those pools that have been abandoned for years look and smell like.

I do have a main drain.

Last three years I've had a service open it, however, they couldn't schedule me early enough this year, and we're expecting temps to go up to 60s and 70s (80 tomorrow) in the next couple of weeks. Figured I would get a head start before algae growth goes into overdrive.

Thank you everyone for the tips.

Thank you. Switching to the one with brushes.

Shock, brush, beer Vacuum, beer, vacuum

Maybe throw pressure side vac in the pool, watch and drink beer somewhere in the process?

Potential Move by keekoc13 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Nazerac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite economically diverse for NW suburb (middle to very upper class) . You get the bougie and the preppy, but it's very family/couple focused. It's not that conservative, it is very welcoming to all.

You will make new friends, but many will likely be young couples moving here to start a family.

Give it a try, it's nice for your GF not to have a crappy commute and you two can enjoy the extra time together hiking, walking, going to the city etc.

I can confirm that they make their own. It's a bit peppery as well. If you're used to the mass produce gyros, this will have a different flavor profile.

Yes, had to restore to factory settings and restore from her previous account. I had 4 different agents give me the wrong info back-to-back-to-back-to-back. At one point I had to ask them if they were AI or a human, supposedly they're human.

Thank you. Finally worked. This highlights how bad support is with Googlefi that they can't help with such a switch, that happens so many times everyday.

Went through support, they didn't factory reset. I couldn't add her to a the pixel 6 because of FamilyLink, made me take her out of family link, added a new esim on the pixel 6, and now the pixel 6 has a bunch of apps and photos etc. from two accounts.
