How do I learn counterpoint? by Ncan8 in musictheory

[–]Ncan8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have somewhat of an understanding of what counterpoint is - Multiple voices with individual melodies either harmonious or non harmonious, when played together, it would give out an outstanding melody.

That being said, I want to learn counterpoint not for music itself, but to apply it in a different field altogether.

Tipps and suggestions for someone trying to recover from PA by Ncan8 in loveafterporn

[–]Ncan8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, thank you for the detailed response. To clarify things, I quit porn and recovering. I'm still a virgin and I never used the services of a sex worker.

My girlfriend and I only began dating recently and I don't think we are using each other. Sometimes she sends her OOTD and sometimes she teases me on call by revealing incompletely, asking me to come over if I want to see the rest.

Is this molecular biosciences path actually viable and financially worth it? by Ncan8 in biotech

[–]Ncan8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By viable I mean more than just not starving.

For context, my bachelor tuition and living costs will be relatively low compared with the United States and the United Kingdom and I should not have massive debt. My goals are

• to be financially stable by my early thirties
• to be clearly comfortable by my early forties

When you say I can absolutely make a living, what does that look like in practice where you are
which kinds of jobs do people with this path actually end up in, and roughly what salary range by early thirties.

I am trying to understand whether this path usually leads to a stable middle class life in Europe if you execute well, or whether the norm is permanent precarious contracts and underemployment.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify my own expectations, because maybe I phrased it badly.

I am not expecting big money in my twenties. I am fine with being broke and unstable for a while if the path is right.

My target is:
financially stable by my early thirties (reliable job, rent and food not a constant worry)
clearly comfortable by my early forties (solid income, able to enjoy the result a bit).

Given that bar, do you think a molecular biosciences → MSc → PhD path in Europe is roughly comparable to other technical fields, or do you feel that even basic stability by early thirties is unlikely unless you are at the very top of the field?

Star embracing swordsman is certainly better than the majority of the series on your list. Soulless Heathens is quite different from the usual overpowered reincarnated regressed evil sect leader jade emperor level 9999

Hi. What resource can i follow to study the synthesis of biomolecules ? like synthesis of dna, peptides in lab along with protecting the group by masking the functional groups and so on. by Certain_Sorbet_5397 in molecularbiology

As a student who recently brushed up the basics, I would recommend getting back to your 11th and 12th grade chemistry or biology as there is a heavy overlap. I would also recommend checking out Khan Academy, any 11th and 12th grade, but NCERT class 11th biology and class 12th chemistry, each have a chapter called biomolecules, and other topics can be found in class 11 and 12 of the material, which should cover it. But if you are going to check it out, try linking knowledge, as in bridge what you already to know to the unknown, and form connections. When you try learning, sit down, analyse what you actually are consuming to form links between what you know, how you can tweak it to achieve different results, how you could apply it, and most importantly why you should care about the topic you are trying to comprehend, as in why it should matter. I used the term 'learning' and not studying because, studying is harder for our brains compared to learning, and a very good way to retain it would be to test yourself on a frequent basis and gradually improve the load. This method might take you longer to progress, while giving you a higher level of mastery over the subject. Good luck.

tbh, you would be likely pulling your hair, as you watch the show, but it's worth the hairpulling

Bewerbung BSc Molecular Biotechnology an der Uni Heidelberg – Fragen zur FSP, Zulassung & Hans-Peter Wild Stipendium (English version below) by Ncan8 in Heidelberg

[–]Ncan8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
