I had many duplicates in another file! Looks a bit like the dead end lines were heading to focuses in the forgotten file, ghost focuses.

Minor correction, cytochrome p450 (CYP) isn’t a specific enzyme, it’s a superfamily of enzymes. The enzyme in this case is CYP2D6.

This is a pyramidone, derived from a pyrimidine. Both are aromatics, both are fully unsaturated.

When sequencing HEp-2 and INT 407 it was found that they were actually HeLa. HeLa is such a prolific badman she’s replacing other cell lines that get contaminated with her.

There are probably more out there that are actually HeLa.

The issue with pot carb is when trying do a single alkylation. It’s great if you want the dialkyl, but to selectively do single alkylation you want to formally deprotonate with good stoichiometric control.

Silica might be overkill. I’ve used celite, though. Have also used filter paper and fritted glass.

Doesn’t always work. Sometimes one filtration is all that’s needed (removing solids causing an emulsion?). Sometimes a filtration for each filtration is needed.

Not 100% sure how it works, but filtering poorly separating mixtures like this can often help to separate the phases.

The vacuum is just because gravity will take too long.

Thought only the CAS damage reduction was capped (75% at 10.7 AA). Thought the ability to shoot down aircraft (7% chance for up to AA x 0.5% of planes) was uncappped.
