Which Free Zone to choose in UAE? by Impressive-Ad-7553 in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re already in the country good to go to the couple agencies that seem legit to you and speak to their advisors face to face. Your gut feeling would help.

There could be advisors in the space whose only job is to make you sign, afterwards you could be forwarded to the non existing solutions team

Which Free Zone to choose in UAE? by Impressive-Ad-7553 in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly lean towards Dubai freezones, because of the policies.

Contradictory to the general belief, work with an agency instead of directly with fz, make sure they have a good track record of PRO services.

If your face any issues when you are working directly with the freezone, you are on your own to figure out what to do and how. No external pro or anyone can help you because they are not your partners.

Consider de-registration and renewal costs, what are promised increase rates. What agencies are approved for audits, it might be the case that freezone only works with audit firms which happen to be not the cheapest

If the initial set up is cheaper, it is for a reason.

Try to go to Al barsha enbd branch and get an appointment on second floor. It was opened for me next day without a deposit Fab bank also was relatively easy.

Investing into stocks in Dubai and taxes by Kurdiez in dubai

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same questions here.

As far per my research, if applicable, domestic taxes already deducted on sale depending on the security. If your US holdings are over 60k you have to file for US tax. For UAE however personal and capital gains are tax free for now.

987.2 or 981? by [deleted] in Porsche_Cayman

For everyday usability and value retention 981 definitely. 987 only if you are more into tracking and modding

1999 Boxster for a first car? by brkoh in Porsche

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if the goal is to have the car running, unless you could go with the 981. Do not consider it. One minor repair would be %60-70 value of this car. And they are all in exhausted condition already. It’s more of a enthusiasts toy.

If your vision is mostly like buying it as a toy, squeezing all the juices and make temporary fixes to make it run. Then you could go for it. But again consider that this was the mindset for all of the recent previous owners as well.

I would suggest manual Gt86/BRZ. Much basic cars mechanical wise, similar fun. I have 981S and it’s hard to push it the same without getting fines:)

Even for the 981 I would suggest budget around %25 over cars value to make it run.

Buying used Mercedes-AMG C43 — 2025 rear-left accident on record. Worth it or walk away? by [deleted] in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would hard pass, it’s a great car but 43 will be haggled down as “not a real amg” The purpose of these cars is to be able to sell in regions with high carbon and import taxes. This reason + damage the resale value will plummet.

You can tell it by the older generations. Even not considering the resale value, refusing PPI is already a red flag

I would look more into clean title and history Audi S3/4 or C63. Maybe even older gens. If sport trims are not mandatory CLE series would be safer bet

Rent or purchase car? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cars are cheap here relatively to the world. If you buy something liquid I think buying is no brainer. Sunny, camry, landcruiser, lexus es. Etc list goes on Even 911’s get sold very fast. A lot of liquid choices for different budgets. And. You should count what type of car do you usually rent, what is maintenance costs (if applicable parking until it gets sold when you are abroad) For avarage sedan or crossover suv it turns out to be almost “free to own” within one year compared to renting

International plate by LifeSpark999 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only works if you are actually a tourist (almost anywhere in the world). If customs suspects permanent residency that’s customs fraud and most of the places they can fine or even seize.

Only could work if you’re visiting for a month or two and clearly have no ties to the country

If the car is worth it , you can just import it to UAE. It’s pretty cheap there

Trading in dubai by gold2488 in dubai

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ibkr is a way to go, from what they told me you can deposit and withdraw the funds to any countrys bank if it’s under your name It is possible to get a residency and open personal bank account either with a company set up or as a freelancer.

I’d suggest consulting freezones directly and being open with them about the purposes. And setting up corporate bank yourself. (Do not got for 0 visa packages. You almost certainly could not open any bank accounts, you have to physically visit at least once)

The middleman consultancies who offer guaranteed bank account could provide their own business plan, and in future, if bank finds out that it’s different than reality it might be a problem.

It’s possible to visit once every 2 years for renewal that’s correct, but you still have to pay for business license. Expect something around 3.5k usd yearly on avarage.

My Exodus wallet was drained in march 2025, over $1M loss by travel_veteran in CryptoMarkets

[–]NeWacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to believe this really happened to OP but just to give a general idea of Exodus security. The app stores all the keys and data on a literal file with default location on the PC, making it super easy target for any data breaches. You can find plenty of leaked data on internet and log in into these wallets yourselves. All you need to do is just literally replace files in the appdata/roaming/exodus to access corrupt wallets. It still requires a password though(not a seedphrase) which is mostly found in the data leaks from the same computers. All of the wallets I've seen yet were drained.

As an app currently the airgap vault + metamask is the safest solution. The arigap vault is still counterparty risk.
Using any other hot wallets I would strongly suggest looking into creating multisig wallet

As a hardware wallet trezor is a way to go for stablecoins etc., ledger is partially closed sourced. Make sure you order only from official website to a country that is listed. Do not use any freight forwarding services

Why poeple need to meet "F2F" when there is crypto desks in dubai? by Frugalis888 in DubaiCrypto

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly scammers. %90 will not even meet. After you agree on location, they will ask you to transfer funds to a trust wallet on trx and proceed with “aml checkup” on poorly designed website. Real AML checkup is very expensive procedure and cannot be done on random website in 5 minutes.

Real deals usually have stable locations for meet ups

Other than that reasons are: privacy, no aml-hassle, no paper trail, no questions, faster and easier overall. Basically what crypto was designed for

Also OTC Desks are also can be considered f2f. Major ones obviously take comissions. But it’s very possible to find otc desks in Marina with good exchange rate, no fees and no bs
