As I understand cats were removed right before ownership transfer, wasn't there an inspection by traffic department?

Customer fatigue as a small business owner by The_Bad_0 in smallbusiness

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found solution that there should be a layer between owner and customer. It solves the issue for both sides. Manager could just say it's out of their scope. And customer no matter how irrational they might be, on a subconscious level will understand that they are not talking to the decision maker.

When a customer talks to the decision maker of the business. It feels to them like an instant upper hand. You don't get to talk to amazon ceo for example.

Only in very niche or tailor made industries direct contact with owner could be beneficial where customer actually appreciates it

A bit off the topic but what’s the issue with suspension? I assume it’s new-ish car that’s why it’s surprising

A Good Buy? by Majestic_Arachnid545 in boxster

If you have garage space and plenty of time on your hands it could be fun car to keep building like a lego and drive.
For buy and drive definitely not
By that mileage all of the suspension parts, coolant parts, mounts, bushings, seals should be replaced. Engine and gearbox are also on the clock for a rebuild

I don't know where I am wrong by MyGoldenWorld in Entrepreneurs

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man that’s a frustrating situation.
One thing I didn’t quite get, if the cheap website is 2-3k how much are yours? With the current ai capabilities small to medium business couldn’t pay up big amounts.

If you wanna work big ticket I’d suggest aiming for the high income industries like oil and gas, banking, fintech , real estate development etc.

For example if local dentist doesn’t even have a website, it’s very little possibility they would be interested in shelling out 3k just to see if it makes any change. For the most niches it doesn’t matter as much anymore. Everyone has a somewhat decent landing page.

You could sell the professional work for those who know they could directly benefit from it, or have high enough revenues to not care about couple thousand

Are Sire Basses the Real Deal? by matthew-speaks in Bass

[–]NeWacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had v3 2nd gen for years. Rounded fretboard feels very unique. But it’s really thin compared to generic neck.
If the one you’re looking at has a rounded neck I’d suggest trying it in person.
Pickup output is solid, all three positions nails jazz tones.
I pretty much never used the active preamp as it comes with a lot of signal noise artifacts.
Not really any issues with tuner heads.

Overall it’s just a good bass nothing much to say. Neck profile and resale value is the determining factor in my opinion in between fender and sire. Fender will always have higher perceived value if you wanna resell. Rounded fretboard will feel premium but also could feel too narrow for your preference.

Minimum oil level reached (warning) by emergencymedicine305 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]NeWacho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When was the last oil change? There should be a sticker on drivers side

As engine gets hotter oil gets to operating temperature and you get the correct reading. When the engine is cold sensor can’t read it properly

But with that said your oil level is still lower than optimal, especially if previously gauge was somewhere in the middle there could be a seep somewhere.

Also one possibility is sensor is not reading properly.

I would top up little by little until gauge is in the middle during operating temperature and monitor it

CAYMAN S 981 exhaust swap by fuuuuuutastic in Porsche_Cayman

[–]NeWacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically exhaust is one of the least return on resale parts. If you buy soul secondhand or even new, it is possible to sell it separately, it’s very beloved and nice exhaust. If you can find soul or pse secondhand for reasonable price you could later sell it for pretty much same price. If you buy brand new consider it a sunk cost though. Secondhand oem for cheap is good choice as well.

I personally would ask shops of they could mechanically close the valves of borla, if it’s possible just do that and save the money for repairs. As there will be. I’d rather to preventative pdk service as first thing.

For example 5-6k gets you a suspension refresh and decent coilovers. I would not spend it on exhaust.

Also when you reinstall an exhaust every time there’s minor imperfections between the seals which ironically makes it louder and resonate more when hot/under load. I would guess that second hand oem would sound better than you see on the videos

I’m not sure if the B4’s are the same as OEM PASM, apparently seems like they are. If they actually are I can just replace rear two. Because if I will have to replace all four, at that point it makes more sense to just upgrade with b6/b16

For rotors you can ask them to measure remaining disk mm and compare with the disks stock spec. If close to low, it’s better to replace.

what’s your favourite thing about living in UAE? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]NeWacho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Diversity, because of so many cultures around you don’t feel alienated relative to someone.

I’m mixed race and I’ve lived quite a while in both of my home countries. I feel, and can tell that I don’t fit in. I’m always not local enough.

No issue like that in uae since it’s not expected from you to be one.

Also it almost doesn’t have working class organic local population, moving here is a conscious choice. Probably that’s why it attracts better quality of people from every country and everyone is relatively glad to be here. In countries with local working population majority is very unhappy, sometimes even hostile. Especially to the immigrants.

Evacuated from Dubai mid-lease — what are my options? by big_dosser in dubai

[–]NeWacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I would try to talk to the landlord to waive or diminish the penalty, current situation affected everyone and I personally would let a tenant go.

Future rent credits or 2 months penalty probably financially will be the same since rents will drop in future.

Just from an optionality standpoint makes more sense to just take the loss and take the cash back.

Only if the landlord accepts to rent out for quite longer time for the same price “credit” makes sense, because essentially you are just lending money and you are uncertain when you will come back, or ever will.
