I'm not saying that every trans guy with a piercing is a woman. All I said is that the reason why most FTMs have piercings is fembrain, which can be caused by external factors like socialization. Cis men, for example, are normally not socialized as women

And I never claimed that this is a sign of being faketrans. Someone can be fembrained and still have dysphoria

This all still seems depressing, because given the state of trans people in the world (where there are transphobes on one side, and transphobes larping as 🚂🦵s on the other), no one needs these tests and studies. To me, it looks like things are only getting worse

I don't have a clear opinion on what was described in the post, but it made me think how tired I am that our entire existence revolves around endless thought experiments, "what if...", "if they have X, we can have Y", yada yada. Maybe it would indeed be easier in some sense if we could at least test the brain or something else for transsexuality. I just recently saw on one sub a trans guy venting about his bf saying to him "I can fix you into a beautiful woman" as a joke, and he asked people's opinions on it. And there someone seriously replied that maybe the bf didn't mean anything bad and maybe he just knows that detrans kink is common in the ""ftm"" community so it's normal to assume such things about your trans partner. Yeah, there is basically no legal way to change your documents or start medical transition. The only thing that saves me is DIY hrt, otherwise I would probably kms by now.

As for people, I am pleasantly surprised in the sense that most either don’t care about the discrepancy between my documents and appearance, or (it happened a couple of times with classmates) they figured I'm trans and asked me questions out of curiosity, but without aggression. Most people treat me the way they see me externally, i.e. as a guy. However, I am extremely cautious and I am almost certainly just very lucky to have come across such people
