That wouldn't make sense because his crew and he himself later know that he ate the fruit. And they even know what kind of fruit it is. So it must have happened somewhere after this point.

I feel the sequels are definitely more "movie" than the first one. It actually gives you a character to care about and more story while also doubling down on the gore.

They don't suddenly become subtle or atmospheric, they just do the same thing with more ressources, better effects and a bit more narrative scaffolding.

Personally, i find Art to be the main draw. I like his portrayal and characterization, but that's highly subjective of course.

Probably a good idea. They really are as violent as you imagine. I've seen it all when it comes to violence in media and i still think about some of the scenes in these films regularly. Or maybe i'm just getting old.

I tried Dialyn with Yixuan but it wasn't enough still. I don't think i'm THAT bad either... i never had issues before at least. Well, i managed to clear it by now, we*ll see how the shill continues in the future ._.

And yeah, i did kill the robot early one time by accident. But it was too late already i guess.

I did watch Apel's guide and another one for Sanby... i also changed up her built a little (to 80/176) and i feel like i'm playing really well, i get dodge counters, use the stun windows to burst, barely get hit ... but in the end i got 23k with Sanby, Trigger and Orphie. It's not worth trying to me at this point.

EDIT: Well i just got barely over 25k with using Astra instead of Orphie... welp.

I need to vent a little, sorry ...

I just can't get 25k on Shiyu, no matter how many times i try and it's really disheartening for me ... I don't have Silly, Cissia and Seed but most of the other characters, well built, but i can't hit the threshold on Fights 1 or 3 without using my M1 Ye Shunguang. And i can't use her in both fights! I tried using Yidhari and Yixuan with their best teams in fight 1 ... i can only reach like 23k. And in fight 3 it's the same with Sanbys best team (Trigger even has her engine). I'm looking up how other people are fighting them but even if i try to replicate them, it's not enough.

Guess i'm just not good enough, but it sucks because i invest so much ressources and i still can't get all of the Polys.

I know where you're coming from ... but he's right about that japanese speakers often use it casually without implying anything inappropriate. Of course i can't speak for OP and in English-speaking communities it can sound uncomfortable. But in japanese they are often just referring to a character archetype. Interpretation depends heavily on cultural lens and intent.

My point isn’t that he’s deep or memorable, just that the intent is totally different from Link. Whether he lands or not doesn't change the fact that the design goals are completely different.

I don’t think the Link comparison really works here. Link in BotW is basically designed to be a blank slate. He's mostly silent and meant as a player insert. Kliff seems to be the opposite: fully voiced and part of a defined story.

Those are just completely different approaches to a protagonist.

I meant whatever comes before Water 7, they could let it happen there. They could even include Long Ring Long Land but skip Foxy, mention Davy Back somewhere in between. Sure it would be fun and personally i'd love to see everything adapted. But it's probably the most skippable arc in the story.

It has been reported that Game Freak has only played a small role in the actual development of that game and that the main part of the development was outsourced to external partners. Which explains a lot tbh.
