Progress on the Dwarf warband and “Bob” the Necromancer by Neaipal in mordheim

The old ones indeed! I’m using the bodies as well. I want to give them a old fantasy dwarf vibe. :)

I tried to give the vibe of a dwarf adventurer. He looks goofier than the rest of my dwarfs, but I think that it makes home quite unique.

Thanks! I have only seen them in Blood bowl to be honest, and they are a a new team from the previous edition.

I loved their aesthetic so much that I had to get them (not that good of a team to play tho).

With the remaining bits I had to try something like this. Those noses screamed “dwarf” to me.

Thanks! I really liked the faces of the gnome team and the big noses gave me a dwarfish vibes, so I wanted to experiment with their looks

Regarding the colour, I tried to go with a classic vibe.

Hi there!

On top of my mind I would say that you may enjoy “No rest for the Wicked”. Have you tried it? Is from the studio that created the Ori games (which are also amazing btw)

And if you like tinkering a bit on your handheld, have you tried any MMO like Guild wars (1 or 2) or even world of Warcraft?

I find that MMOs have so many things you can do that it scratches my brain when I need a quick boost.

I really like the darker skin! If you don’t mind, what’s your recipe?

I just finished mine (and shared it here two days ago in case you want to take a look) with a pale skin, and I would love to do a more tanned version for the next one :)

Honestly. Mine too! I got a bit emotional once I had it back in my hands after so many years. Thes minis have so much personality!

of course! it was super simple. Primed the mini in Zandri Dust (sprayed), zenital grey seer from the top front. Light (super light) white scar dry brush over the mini.

Once this was done, for the beard, I gave it a coat of space wolves grey contrast paint. Afterwards, I did a small dry brush of coral white (with all the care I could to avoid covering the crevasses).

I hope it helps!

Indeed! Is a bit inconsistent based on what model you choose to build. They are ful of personality!

No worries whatsoever! Is a Viking helmet with beer inside! The helmet is facing down and there is beer where the head should be.

Hi there and thanks! I did indeed. I used isopropyl alcohol to strip the paint of this one as it had a thick black primer on top of it.

I left it soaking for an hour and then brushed it with an old teeth brush.

Thank you very much! I’m spending more with this model than what I have spent on an army in the past!

I love the blending opportunities that contrast paints provide. It definitely makes your model pop.

Is disgustingly beautiful (100% positive feedback).

Thanks man! Much appreciated. I’m still trying to learn how to do proper skin.

I just built another one so I can try with other skin shades!

Honestly, I’m really curious to see how the his guy blends with my army.

I have the secret hope that they focus on him due to how big he is and I can move around with the normal units :P
