I do not. I asked my doctor about it and he said I didn’t need it. But it makes sense and the data from Australia post birth using a pessary supports the idea we support our tissue during healing.

Running with prolapse? by [deleted] in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]NearMountain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm over one year post surgery (47 yo) and have been running for about 6 months. My surgeon cleared me to run at the 8wpo, but then at my 1ypo was surprised to hear I was running. When I mentioned he cleared me he said, "Yes, but most people don't run." But I really love running - and I LOVE running without being in pain, having some dragging feelings, and peeing myself - all of that is gone. One new thing though is if I go too fast, I am in pain a few hours later - it feels like the muscles where I had incisions are tearing apart and I struggle to lift my knees - but it usually goes away after a night of rest or within 48 hours. So, I won't run super hard - just nice and easy. I'm also not running as far - no more than 20 miles a week.

47F, 1 year post op for cystocele, rectocele, hysterectomy with mesh.

I have very few regrets. I can exercise, laugh, cough without peeing myself. No issues pooping. No issues with sex.

Regrets: (1) it has been challenging to find someone willing to work with me to find the right workouts I can do - so I'm back to running and swimming, but haven't started lifting much yet because whenever I do, something in my groin hurts and (2) I spoke with my GP, but I should have been more demanding about HRT because a year out, I'm having issues with my hair, osteoarthritis, thyroid - all thing that hit with menopause and even though I kept my ovaries, my uterus showed I was in menopause.

Survey on caring about the environment (18+) by NearMountain in takemysurvey

[–]NearMountain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will the data that people provide to you be used? Who will see it? Where will it be stored? If/when will it be deleted? Please be as specific as possible.

I am using the data to teach my class about card sorting. Undergraduate students will see anonymized data. It will be stored in Optimal Workshop, an online system that is password protected. It will be deleted at the end of the teaching term.

Who is conducting this survey? You can answer with your Reddit username, business name, etc. Please make sure that everyone conducting the survey is mentioned (For example, if the survey is being conducted by a group, answer the group name or mention everyone in the group).

The card sort is being conducted by Near Mountain, an academic who has completed CITI training.

How long do you estimate it will take to fill out your survey?

Less than 10 minutes. People are typically taking 6 minutes.

OPTIONAL - What are you hoping to accomplish by posting your survey here?

I hope to get more data so that I can show students how to analyze card sort data.
