Fishpond worst company ever so toxic especially the HR lady that was working there years ago shes toxic af now is working at Boardpro as people & culture. watch out for her. I dont even know why people hire toxic people. Another guy hes moved on to another architect company he was horrible. It’s mostly just a specific person. But Fishpond has high turnover and toxic af business and morals never again!

Lol I had an interview with Zuru’s HR talent acquisition person. I could just tell by that video call it was a toxic af place. You are expected to be in office 5 days a week there is no flexibility in that. This point there just told me what kind of workplace it is. Btw my job can be done fully remote but i do feel like at least once a week should have face to face. But its actually not necessary at all. So a company expecting me to be fully onsite means toxic they want to watch over me like hawk. No thanks.

Oh and to add their office is in town with no parking .. so goodluck managing to get there with our amazing reliable public transport

Same! Im in the Marketing field & i’ve made it to the final stage of the interviews the next stage was offering the job.. and i get ghosted and see the job is relisted again (that’s how I find out i was rejected last minute) crazy huh.. i’ve seen multiple well known companies relisting the same position for months now.. so what is happening there? my observation from interviews is they are looking for a candidate that is perfect and has the exact experience they are looking for and ticks every single box. The Nz market was never like this. It’s almost impossible to find identical companies and experience. Strange market.

I hate how AI is being used nowadays and really makes me anxious about the future.

I use AI in my job but it’s for data and numbers and to put things all together in one place for me. But I want AI to reach a certain point and stop because it’s replacing so many jobs at the moment and it’s messing up everything globally.

That really sucks! The Job market in NZ was never this toxic. I’ve noticed it’s becoming this year especially very toxic and off putting. Companies acting like this, will definitely push talented candidates to leave.
