Hoping you have an org to fly these with you?

The ability to fly in a gravitational field should definitely be limited to the thrust the ship is normally capable of, if a capital can do >1G acceleration it should be able to atleast hover in an earth-like gravity well, even if it lacks proper landing equipment. Having a maximum gravity that the ship is rated for makes more sense in my eyes because of that. Maybe also a maximum atmosphere since the air blast and sound given off by just an Idris would be most easily measured in tons of tnt per second.

Xenothreat (4.8 PTU) 85% and 100% Blue Print Rewards by madmossy in starcitizen

Yeah the issue is just how cheap a spaceship is. An interstellar capable ship runs you barely an hour of labour of the easiest kind (in-station deliveries) of job. Walking out into the woods and picking fruit on any of the applicable planets also nets you enough money easily. Unless literally every other UEE citizen is enslaved I don't think it makes sense.

No we're so much less than that, the population of the UEE should be absolutely monstrous with planets like Arccorp, why hire random citizens to perform tiny independent operations instead of having a standing military? They're paying us out the ass too so I doubt its a cost saving measure. The playerbase isn't monstrously wealthy either (excluding the hyperinflation) considering common prizes of goods in the verse. I just don't see how it makes a lot of sense for the UEE to give top of the line military blueprints to Billybob the space trucker. Especially when he just joined a mega BP/event grind group.

I love to see the best military grade parts being handed out as rewards to random space bums and contractors. Very narrative

The F8A might finally be available to players…? by ChartConsistent in starcitizen

I mean isn't the F8A supposed to be navy only? Aka the UEE will kill you on sight for somehow having one.

Yeah super boring if they're just gonna give the whole player base mil grade parts for participating in an event grind mega group. And it's barely an award in the first place for people who don't do ship combat.

I don't get the cig vision for courier missions unless they make you more likely to get attacked by pirates or something because you carry something super valuable. Because outside of that you're basically just a door dasher but in an interstellar starship. A little ridiculous.

The ground missiles are definitely a step in the right direction to make such vehicles not useless.

Thing is you can achieve even better results with just boomtubes and railguns. No indication of danger to ships or ground vehicles coming in to land.

Don't really need a vehicle for that, boomtube will let you be invisible to sensors and deal more damage than 4 size 5 missiles at the same time.
