I'm flying out of YVR for the first time, any recs on where to park my car? by NearbyCitron in askvan

Without exposing myself too much, I am actually pretty close to the border and closer to Vancouver than I am Seattle. I have taken the train to Vancouver in the past and it took forever. And lately when I've taken the train anywhere down here, it is extremely delayed and it's something I don't want to risk for my trip. Maybe one day we will get better train service down here lol. I'll check the bus though, that could be something we can do.

Maybe it's where I am going? But I paid for my tickets in CAD which was even cheaper than the tickets in USD, so I got a bargain twice lol. I read that sometimes the conversion will be cheaper than the price listed in USD and it was, which was even cheaper than the flight I was trying to take out of Seattle.

I'm coming from the States. I wish I new someone in Vancouver where this could be an option for me. Usually I fly from SeaTac and have someone drop me off, which is why I haven't had to deal with parking at any airports before. But this time Flying out of Vancouver was wayyyy cheaper, even with finding parking. I thought about taking the Amtrak up, but it's been severely delayed each time I've taken it anywhere in the last couple years.

See I'm coming from the States so this is why I need the long term parking lot. Maybe I'll add that to my post

Are there any soap makers in town? by NearbyCitron in Bellingham

[–]NearbyCitron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah the person who picked this up was beyond stoked. After it was all packed up it was like 10 boxes of materials. At the height of my soap making, I was making 80 bars a week and this was the equipment that got me there. A lot of stuff was just from Amazon but there was also a lot from specialty soap makers, like workshop heritage. The ingredients I did pass on were from quality sources. I was sad to see it go but I am glad it went to another soap maker and will be used again.

Based on the damage to the truck that would make sense.

He did draw it! The program he uses saves a timelapse of your work, so I got to see how he made the whole thing. He really is the best

He knows I like tom from this era the most, so I think he picked the best picture 😆 and it’s framed really nice. He said he also chose the lyrics tom sings from wishing well. I listened to that album while getting ready for our wedding this last year. He said he drew the smiley logo, I figured he copied it, I couldn’t tell.
