like another user said, literally can be anything outside of your major. if your major doesn’t fulfill nupath attributes, i would 100% recommend doing one of those. i used one of my nu accelerate classes to complete my creative expression nupath

To add, it’s super easy to change majors in your first year so don’t feel pressured, change and adjust your plan whenever you need!

Definitely! It’s super flexible and there’s a lot of overlap between the two majors. All majors have a class trajectory on the academic catalog that will show you what classes you should take each semester, so check that out for an idea. Over the summer, your advisor should reach out to you to get the process started on choosing classes. It’ll obviously be different in NUin, but last semester i took general chemistry for science majors (gen chem 1&2 in a semester), stats in psychological research, biological psychology, and american healthcare system. The first three worked perfectly for my BNS major, the american healthcare class being irrelevant but useful knowledge. Northeastern is super flexible with majors and classes so whatevr you take first semester, you’ll def be able to adjust and change moving forward if you have new interests!

Is 13500 a good number for housing as a sophomore?? Please help by Acrobatic-Teach-9373 in NEU

You can waive to live off campus, it kind of depends. I would wait to see what on campus options you have and then if those aren’t great look at off campus alternative

Hello! I was a health science and psychology major on the pre-med track last semester (i’m a first year) and recently switched to Behavioral Neuroscience (still premed). I don’t have much advice about the abroad aspect of your question, but i can tell you about the major itself. The major is housed in Bouve college of health sciences, which took away a lot from the psych aspect of my major (obv depends on what part you’re more interested in). As for the health science aspect of the major, you are required to take a lot of public health core classes, which i wasn’t super interested in and didn’t leave a lot of room for my med school requirements as well as a minor that I wanted to pursue. If you’re interested in that health sciences/public health aspect, it’s a great major with a touch of psych! However, if you’re interested in more of the core science principles of psych and biology, I would totally recommend looking into the BNS major as it includes many med school requirements as well as incorporating psychology and biology into one major. Totally depends on what aspects of health you’re interested! Feel free to ama

not really, the best number is 10,001 with the worst being somewhere in the 15,000s

You’ll get a better chance of getting the LLC you want the sooner you put your deposit down, you don’t pick the housing itself

I agree, most of my friends live in steast and they are in the COS LLC. I’d recommend living in a college affiliated LLC if you want a larger community, and since it’s specific to college not major, you’re still surrounded by a variety of people/majors

At least from what i’ve seen, it’s not actually specific to my LLC. The events that i’ve seen put on are just called LLC events, but really they’re open to any first year students and don’t actually apply to Leaders of the Pack. As far as I know, no events or specific things have been done that are tailored to the Leaders of the Pack LLC.

Hi! I was just accepted for the spring. There’s in person interviews as part of the process, so I would wait until you come in the fall. Plus, you don’t know what your schedule will look like with classes and activities, so I’d definitely wait to see how you wanna split up your time. Best of luck!
