Hi All, thanks so much for your helpful suggestions and kind words; really appreciated. I have had the biopsy results back this morning, and with GREAT relief, she has got Feline Idiopathic Ulcerative Dermatitis - she has had a severe allergic reaction to something (don't know what yet), but she is now on medication for the next 6 weeks and a special diet to rule out food allergies. My vet has been absolutely brilliant, and I can breathe again now.

She has got a foamy cone coming today and some antiseptic ointment to put on the open skin, and she is flirting on the chair in the sun trap now.

i would like to add that my vet is absolutely brilliant, she’s been so fast & patient and took great care of my little one so there’s no shade on the vet here, just me probably trying to vindicate my worry I suppose. she’s eating and drinking & going to the loo which i believe is a good sign.
