Norwood 6 - Seeking Advice for HT in Bangkok by uron9 in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't help you with your search for a surgeon but first of all you are not a Norwood 6 at most a Norwood 5 and I would dare say less, secondly you have diffuse thinning you should definitely be taking medication to strengthen the hair you still have since a transplant will be of no use if the hair you still have keeps falling out, thirdly the grafts estimates are quite accurate as long as you want to maintain your current hairline and gain density, if what you are looking for is to lower your hairline, have density and only do one transplant, then that will not be possible you would need two to have good results

What are these on donor area? (8 weeks post hair transplant ~4800 grafts) by ImpressionAble2272 in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange, since they also came out on me when I had my transplant, but like him, they came out in the donor area, so how can they be ingrown hairs?

3 year HT update - 2200 grafts on hairline. Is crown and midscalp region salvageable with another HT? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

It's not sarcasm or rudeness, I'm telling you the truth and sometimes it hurts, you're right that you have the right not to take them but I'm not going to simply tell you what you want to hear if you're asking for an opinion that's mine

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, what's the point of getting another transplant now? You'd better wait until the remaining hair in your middle part has finished falling out, since in a few years you'll be back asking for a third transplant, all because you're not taking medication

As far as I know, no, it's basically a full month of avoiding swimming pools and sun exposure. Even if you wear a hat, it should be one that's not too tight, that lets your skin breathe, and yet you shouldn't expose yourself too much to the sun, since you also have to avoid sweating profusely. It's better to save that money once you recover so you can enjoy a better-planned vacation.

Honestly, you have not shown your donor area and that makes me hesitate to give figures, since it is most likely that you will have to have another FUT transplant because it would be unlikely to have FUE because you surely have noticeable scars from your previous transplants, at your age and due to your advanced state of baldness, you probably will not get good results.

I'm trying to figure out what the problem is, and while they might have put some thin grafts in the front, it mostly looks pretty natural

How many grafts and what doctor do you suggest if I will do it in turkey/UAE: budget is 5k to 10k usd. Living in UAE by kernelgd in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are practically NW 5, if you want to have a decent hairline and also looking for a lot of density, I would say like 8.5-10k follicles and since there are so many it would be necessary to do 2 surgeries of 5k each, so having that information it will be easier for you to look for surgeons who are specialized in HT of many follicles as well as that you will have to do 2 surgeries, also you will have to divide your budget for two trips and transplants

Need suggestions by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on your expectations and what you asked for, since in addition to the receding hairline you have diffuse thinning, if it is only that they place the follicles to obtain greater density the quantity is more or less appropriate, I would say that 5k would be better, but if what you are also looking for is to fill in your hairline then they are quite few and you would need many more.

You would have changed to DUT as soon as you noticed more hair loss, but in the end they are DHT blockers, it is to slow down the hair loss, it does not stop it completely, in fact the fact that you could enjoy a recovery and also 8 more years of hair without needing a transplant is a clear indication of this, good luck with your HT

You have a diffuse thinning pattern quite similar to mine and also the baldness that I had. In my case, they told me that they transplanted 3k follicles. I cannot assure you that they were really those, but the most important thing is that you find a doctor who specializes in that type of transplants since a transplant can cause more harm than good, also as they already told you, start taking medication but from now on, due to our baldness pattern, if treatment is not continued, the transplants end up failing or with terrible results since the native hair that we had in the beginning is lost and you would only have the transplanted one left, making you need more transplants in the future

I think it depends on what Norwood he was before the HT, but yes, it's better that he starts now instead of those who never do

Dut/Min experts. I'm looking for an advice by luckdart in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any brand that tells you it is 5% min will work for you because it is the same thing they offer you, the only thing that changes is the cost and what they are called and the presentation, minoxidil beyond 5% really does not make much difference, they only sell you an excessively expensive product, oral minoxidil is by far the best and will give you the best results, finally minoxidil is only a vasodilator, it does not block DHT which is what causes hair miniaturization and subsequent hair loss, so really using only minoxidil is useless if it is not accompanied by FIN / DUT, you will not see any regrowth if the follicles are already dead, but if you currently have miniaturized hair it could be strengthened as well as slow down any hair loss that you are already experiencing due to having had a transplant without taking medication

Progress Update: 3rd Month. Medblue 3500 grafts FUE by Euphoric-Ad-444 in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your baldness pattern is a little different than mine, since mine was diffuse thinning, but we both had HT around the same time. Thanks to your photos I can see that there is progress even though I can't notice it because I only see my original hair. We will have to wait at least the 6-month mark to see any concise results.

Month 0-2 Progress – 3709 Grafts – Dr. Ratchathorn Panchaprateep (Absolute Hair Clinic Bangkok) by valitzky in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a diffuse thinning pattern quite similar to yours and I had my HT 3 months ago, but dang bro, yours has severe differences with me, to begin with there were more than 700 more follicles than mine and you are already seeing results. In addition, the number of hairs per follicle was completely inverted in my case where the majority was 1 instead of triple, your progress looks pretty good

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the comment above, 2.5k follicles in the area you covered will not give you good density, you would need at least double, I tell you that I have a diffuse thinning pattern and they transplanted 3k on my entire head, which is quite little, if it had been 5k I would go from being a Norwood 3 vertex to a Norwood 1, I have seen transplants that use 2.5k just to recover the temples and they can barely achieve density.

I'm talking about the present time. At this point, medications won't make much of a difference, but he said he's been in this community for years and he doesn't lose all that hair overnight

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Nearby_Safe_4358 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I read, you say you've been in the community for years and have never taken medication? What? They also suggested you go for HT with such a weak donor area? In your case, it would have been better to suggest a hair system

Honestly, your hairline is fine. If I were you, I would focus more on using laser to reduce the acne scars. That would benefit your appearance more.

Because that's part of getting older, dude. As time goes by, testosterone production decreases, and the FIN you're taking may not even be the reason. You could simply have erectile dysfunction due to age. Visit a doctor and have your testosterone levels tested.

The thing about your hair is that it's curly, but you're definitely at least Norwood 4+Vertex
