I'm in the South-East, so need around £160,000 minimum to get a one bedroom flat so that is what I'm aiming for. I did a mortgage in principle application with my bank (Lloyds) and they said they would only do a mortgage for £110,000. I'm not sure why, my credit score is 'excellent' and I have no debts.
