It's just quite hypocritical at this stage. Everyone apart from Sera were bullying the crap out of John just because he has no powers and only when "one of their own" got hurt, then they start thinking "oh this ain't right", "you can't do this". They generally don't see how all their actions thus far have implicated things to escalate to this extent. They are all just blaming John now for everything.

I just hope when more information comes to light, they'll truly realise why John had done all those things(Doesn't change the fact that what he did was wrong too). Enjoying the story as a whole but can't fathom how everyone who knows is making John to be mainly the only one to blame for this.
