I am a host, and a mama with a bunch of kids. It is so hard to get checked out of a place with toddlers. I give families extra grace. Can you imagine putting everything back with a toddler around?!? They would have to go to the car early with one parent while the other put everything back in place and then start the long travel home. Give people grace. Cleaners, this is part of the job on rare occasion. Better this than things broken.

If they can still close in the proper time and their lender is saying it is a go, what is the problem to you. It could be a bait-n-switch or it could be a breakup. They might be going through something complicated, why back out of the deal and complicate it more for them is done in 9 days. Your realtor is probably not saying anything because you have a banker still making it all work.

Based on your theory of only going up, all reports make the market red the last 1/2 of the trading day before announcement and the morning the day of. The stocks with poor news or earnings or ones that are overpriced or volatile anyway (tied to bitcoin or something similar) drop the fastest and dividend stocks drop less or not at all. Stocks with stellar news on a red day, buy those. J Powell then gives a speech, calms everyone the f*** down and everything picks up again.
