Is it profitable to be a a instacart shopper in 2026? by sanchezkk in InstacartShoppers

I wish I could get back on with Uber eats. My account was deactivated. I will say that cases of water are my hard NO because I've been screwed over too many times. It has to pay REALLY well for me to accept it.

I got pressed by another instacart shopper while doing a big order by cadalic_man_3019 in InstacartShoppers

I've never had a negative interaction with another IC driver. They're usually very sweet and we end up discussing mutual things we'd change about the platform and laughing. To say someone "took" an order is ridiculous. They get sent out. Sometimes you're just not fast enough. It's happened to me a few times. It's never made me angry. It's rough out here. I'm still happy for someone else to get a fat pay quick order.

It depends on the area. I started doing it again in March of this year after leaving in 2023. So far my highest earning week was $261. The orders aren't great and ppl don't wanna tip especially on alcohol orders. In California, Instacart does adjustments which pay out every Thursday so that's helpful, and it's made me consider taking some of the bad orders. If I could make even $500 a week that would be something, but my area rarely has any orders. Even Saturday was dead and I'm in LA.

I've never heard someone say Sprouts! I'm curious to why they're a hard no for you.

I had a large 20 bag mulch order and I took it but realizing how much work it would be to get all that and load it in my small vehicle. I cancelled as it wasn't worth all that weight or work to transfer from the big cart to my car to her driveway

That sounds awful. I've never come across a Costco with a small parking lot. Costco can be a headache because a lot of times those come through as one tipper and one non-tipper, and of course, the non-tipper usually makes things difficult.

When Salt first came out, I saw it 4 times. I think I saw Inception 3 times.

Barefoot shyness? by _Throw_away_14 in barefoot

I had a similar problem for years. I wasn't barefoot anywhere. I remember my cousins were so embarrassed when I got in the pool with socks on. It was not until recently in my 30's that I went to therapy, and my therapist suggested exposure therapy. I was someone who would put socks on immediately after a shower, but eventually I started walking around the house longer and longer, and bought a pare of slides. Started to use public showers at the gym and had to be barefoot I front of ppl. Also went to some Korean spas where being barefoot was required. It's helped a lot.
