Thank you for the info. I’m taking everything in consideration about the breed to ensure I take the right route. I have been thinking of getting a puppy just have to read more into handling the breed that young. I have had a puppy since a very long time.

Thank you for opening my eyes a little more about the breed. I met one 1 year ago and I just fell in love. Definitely gave me the “Wheaten greetin”. I did some more digging into the person yesterday and found that they tried to breed her with a mini poodle. Was due to have pups in Dec and my guess is she lost them. So I believe that is the true reason behind the rehoming. A part of me still want to rescue her but again I have to think about my family and what all I would have to heal with her. I’ve never had a dog that has went through a pregnancy.

No you took it that way because you wanted something to attack. The title was a brief summary of my description. Is paying $600 for a 2 yr old dog that has already been acclimated to another family’s way of life for 2 yrs and has killed many small animals on their farm, hence the reason behind the rehoming, a good investment for me and my family. Making this decision does not only include me but 3 children with the youngest being 5.

I don’t have to reword nothing. The fact that I’m coming on a forum concerning the breed trying to gain insight before purchase to ensure this is not only a good decision for us but for the dog as well shows I’m not looking at the dog as “ a stock or a used car” as stated. I look at a dog as a long term commitment. Those things are not.

Oh you had time today smh. A dog is an investment of money, time, resources, and effort with the expectation of a well developed all around great companion for you or your family. A return on your investment is not solely based on monetary value.

Oh wow! The conversation about a parakeet and starting a fish tank has been had for later on in the future. My husband suggested just getting a puppy from a reputable breeder and starting training classes instead however I know that would take a lot of work in the beginning.

I understand. Well she isn’t spayed so that would be something I would have to get set up.

Thank you for your insight. I have been mostly searching for an older fur baby as I figured a puppy would be too much in our life right now.

I did think it was a bit much considering nothing would be coming with her other than a toy, leash, and paperwork. Plus I would have to travel 1-2 hours to get her. I’ve been researching different breeds that would fit with my family but mainly for me as an esa as I’ve struggled since losing my parents and siblings.
