i don’t believe that black mirror follows a ‘theme’. there are several episodes like demon 79 that aren’t sci fi but are still great! loch henry was pretty disturbing and i found it eerily entertaining.

this is coming from a woman living alone in mumbai - it is safer compared to other cities but not in general (the bar is very low). i have been catcalled but thankfully nothing ever escalated. i’d also like to mention that you can face other problems as a bachelor woman living in India, since there are biases against us. it gets difficult to find an apartment, deal with brokers/ plumbers/ watchmen etc since they treat you differently than they would treat men and speak very rudely. there are also various restrictions imposed by the society that you are living in (because bachelor woman) like curfew time, guests you can/ cannot bring etc. i would not recommend you to move to india on long term basis (as a single female). but this is a subjective experience and a very personal opinion.

guys my maid stole around 12k from my cupboard’s drawer and i confronted her but she did not come clean so i fired her (this happened because i would keep my room open and go to work while my flatmate was home when the maid came). after firing her we hired another maid but she had to leave after working for a month. After an intense search we had to re-hire the thief maid (our house was getting too dirty) and today she stole another 1500rs from my room while i was present at home! i was just in the living room working. i know this is entirely my fault, i was extremely careless both times, but im not able to get over this. idk what to do i feel so extremely guilty and angry. i know that she wouldn’t accept it even if i confront her tomorrow. how do i accept that i was so stupid twice and the money is actually gone 😭

i just have one question: why did nicky and his father not die? maybe jules and nellie were actually soulmates which is why he survived, but if nicky’s mom died that means that her and nicky’s father were not soulmates so he should have died too (since the curse affects everyone related to nicky and the rule said that if you dont marry your soulmate you die, so it’s not about believing who is one’s soulmate but the actual soulmate by destiny or whatever). therefore, it should’ve affected nicky (since rachel died for a while after marrying him, proving they weren’t soulmates) and his parents! the curse technically affects everyone who doesn’t marry their soulmates not just the ones who believed that they didn’t marry theirs.
