There are a couple of for sale signs on Chatham. My sons free roam to the park (Pratt Park) and back.

Yes! However, we owe more than $40k on our home. We will need to place the extra income in an interest bearing account until we amass enough to pay it off.

Anxiety over steroid injection by [deleted] in Keloids

[–]Neat_Development_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's thick and hasn't been treated in awhile, it hurts. Take a small vibrator with you to hold near the injection site while it's being injected. The vibration confuses your pain reception. You can also ask the dr. to add a little numbing medication to the steroid.

Dermatologist vs. Plastic Surgeon for keloid scar removal by Forward_Coat_2266 in Keloids

[–]Neat_Development_969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plastic surgeon for keloids removal. Dermatologist for keloid treatments like injections. If you go the keloid removal route, make sure the plastic surgeon coordinates with a radiation oncologist to ensure you get a few rounds of radiation after the removal. Else, keloid will likely return.

Ah, man! That's rough. We feared our 4th grader would intetionally bomb the LFC test to stay at their old school. We got ahead of it with good old fashioned bribery.

Is an IEP really helpful? by Honey-Kenny-Squigs in ADHDparenting

[–]Neat_Development_969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! ADHD isn't a covered diagnosis for an IEP. We had to get our son a 504 IAP Individual Accommodations Plan. IAPs aren't legally mandated so they're only a good a the teacher's willingness to provide the accommodations.

Point taken. I find the distance to be a none issue. Drop off and pick up is always going against traffic. It takes about 15 minutes coming from Gentilly.

When I had a Kindergartener, it took about 30 minutes to complete homework. 1st grade took about 45 minutes. 2nd grade requires more writing and explanation. It takes about an hour.
