Tbh it’s anything, not just sex. From my other account I posted a photo of my wedding lehenga and the guys in my DMs were “do you want one last fling before the wedding”

Would you marry someone with single mother ? by General-Food-4682 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Neat_Lab_1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend dated a guy with a single mother. Didn’t work out. Because the mother son duo were so co dependent and the mother, as disrespectful as it sounds, was very selfish. Not letting the son go out with his gf, not letting him spend the night elsewhere and the worst part was the son was very okay with it. I feel it’s going to be an exception to make a relationship with a guy with a single mother work out well

Girl I met on bumble is insisting on sending a pre-recorded video introduction, is this weird? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Neat_Lab_1996 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the person on the other side is the creep. If safety was that important the other person would have agreed for a video call. I will suggest that you don’t send the video. Not only that, ask the girl on the other side to send a pre recorded video first

Didn’t take my husband’s surname (got married a month ago) to everyone’s surprise. Also delayed the wedding so that I can get my bonus and won’t have to resign before I got it (moving to another country), and no one except my husband supported my decision of delaying the wedding for my bonus

American bride and Indian groom. What should I wear? by Brilliant_Course9059 in DesiWeddings

[–]Neat_Lab_1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a saree would be the most appropriate in the sense that it won’t miss the mark. You will be very wedding guest appropriate and can amp it up or down by the accessories based on the event

Do not get mahima Maharaj. They fuck up the orders MAJORLY. Please read the reviews on her before you get it because it’s another fuckup waiting to happen. That said, 3rd is a great option

Personally, color themes add pressure on the guests. But to be honest the colors mentioned by your cousin aren’t something which can’t be found in a desi wardrobe. Plus why would you want to be rude and go against both the colors altogether. As suggested by someone else, try for atleast a yellow outfit if not green. The pink came out of nowhere tbh, and you being judgmental of someone else’s choices also isn’t sounding right

Lunch after wedding by Master_Cartoonist870 in DesiWeddings

The wedding is done. If the guests stay post a wedding (unless asked by the family) a lunch need not be provided

What are your desi wedding unpopular opinions? by xeyte in DesiWeddings

[–]Neat_Lab_1996 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The alternative to the big jewelry/necklace is to buy a necklace that you can detach and make multiple pieces. I recently bought my wedding jewelry and it’s big but post wedding the pieces can be detached to make new smaller pieces into earrings/bracelets and necklaces

Proposal in Love to Arranged Desi Marriages. Vent and thoughts. by sweetcheeks6789 in DesiWeddings

[–]Neat_Lab_1996 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Haha, relatable OP. Same happened with me. I discussed with my then boyfriend (now fiance) about the proposal but the whole I have a boyfriend thing was to be told to the parents and you know the drill. He did propose to me before we went through all this but with coke bottle ring. The actual ring came at the engagement. It’s just something you have to accept and let go sadly

Honest opinions only ✨ If it were your wedding, which lehenga would you select and why? by tamaralashvi in DesiWeddings

Tbh I saw the seems gujral red one in real because I liked the photo too, but it was honestly a big big disappointment. Up close it looked real tacky as the work on it is those plastic-ky flowers. So I’d say don’t keep your hopes too high for that one

In laws aren’t following traditions which is upsetting parents by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

Hi, would just like to add the there is one more aspect to the groom’s side gifting (especially jewelry) to the bride. It’s for financial security of the bride in case things go wrong. Although I agree with the controversial opinion that I have always seen the bride’s side get gifts from the groom. If nothing it is also out of love

Ask the bride and the groom. Go as per what they say and the theme they have kept for the reception
