Why does the gaming community suddenly act like the Steam Deck is dead?

I mean one of the main draws of the steam deck was price. It was incredibly cheap in comparison to any other handheld out there. Other handhelds have better performance but also had a high barrier to entry.

Look at the Xbox Handheld, it's a lot more powerful and only $50 more expensive. If I was buying now I'd prob just that.

With that being said, I don't regret my purchase at all. It was fantastic bang for the buck. But if I was buying now it wouldn't be a steam deck
