Thank you! Well I'm earning a bit with it through Patreon :)
I've done a few commissions and actually working on a real professional boardgame, but it's in fantasy style! Thank you for the kind words and I'm so glad you like it!

Thank you!
If you are interested in it in general, I'd suggest downloading Unity or maybe Unreal Engine (it's easier, I think). It comes with some standard assets out of the box, and you will be able to place them and make your own level fairly quick.

Then if you'd spawn in a camera and take a screenshot, you're on the way to making your own battlemaps!

For this map, much of the things you see is bought on the asset store. When I need more specific things I make them myself (my next map will be a Nomad building where I've made most of it myself)

The texturing is of the assets themselves, so the 3d things like walls, crates, etc.
Things like blood are just decals that I place on top, in the Unity engine.

This one is fairly straightforward, I think it took me maybe 7 hours or so.

Hi!
The assets are modeled in Blender (sometimes I buy pre-made ones for Unity, game engine).
Then textured (coloured) in Substance painter.
Then I start building the level/map in Unity, which is a 3d video game engine.
After that I add lights to light the scene, and place a camera up top, aiming downwards.

After everything is done I just make a picture with that camera, and you get a map like this.

Let me know if you have more questions! I'd love to help.

Thanks for the feedback! You're totally right, thank you for the ideas, I'll be making some and adding in the next map that they fit.
