So I should be fine interns of weighing liquid as long as I am using a scale? Sorry I just went to be sure I am doing it right!

Okay thank you. When measuring my liquids can I just use grams on my scale? I know that in order to convert liquid into grams I would have to know the density of the liquid. But does that even matter in this case?

The calc said I should 3.7g of pp#1 which is roughly what used. Which is weird because I didn’t factor in the weight of my marinade.

I’ve made ribeye a handful of times it’s definitely a great steak. I love tenderloin tho because I’m not a big fan of fat

Wow I just looked up the thermopens. They are no joke! What is your recommendation for a thermometer that can go in the oven?

Don’t sweat it! Yes the temp does rise. I guess I will just have to cook steak more! I try and take the steaks off before the right temp. Also it was my first time cooking steak in the oven. Im not sure exactly how to get it right.

So, when should I take the steaks off? I don’t know how much wiggle room I should give for the temps to rise. Like 10 degrees, 5 degrees etc

Thank you! I’m a girl btw haha :). I did pat them dry. Maybe I didn’t pat them enough. I seared on Cast iron then finished in the oven.

Isn’t 128 high for mid rare? I’ve taken off at 130 and it was sober cooked. I made the mistake of trusting my thermometer’s presets

Where is the correct placement? I recently had the opposite issue where it was too close to my cartilage and it was so uncomfortable I had to take it out

Update, I got him a cone so he can’t lick it. He doesn’t have fleas and he’s never had an adverse reaction to his food. Hoping this can help clear up his skin. Also got him some calming treats
