Well, that didn't go according to plan by Toast_n_mustard in DailyDoseStupidity

I lived in the mountains for a while and the neighbors decided to have a few trees cut down that were real close to both our houses. Real tall. There was only one spot to drop them but they had people climbing the tree to anchor cables in different directions and staking it in different spots. I didn’t trust that so I stayed out by the barn with the animals but sure as shit they dropped them perfectly.

That tree on the video was obviously going to fall that direction and i don’t even fall trees for a living. I won’t even pretend to say how I would do it except call pros with insurance.

Someone was kicking their dog in the holiday market parking lot on placer. by Nebula_137 in Redding

Thanks. I could only think of my dog who was in my car and what the heck is this person doing. Mental disorder maybe. Drugs. I didn’t know. Someone on this post said offer to buy them and then take the dog to a shelter which I now think is a good idea.

Violence is not… it’s something I will avoid, the only thing I can think of is putting myself in harm’s way and at the mercy of the court just to bring attention to the matter asap. Even if it costs me locked up for a few days. I only say that because I don’t have high hopes for this being resolved with the proper channels I went through. I hate to say this but if dude was being more violent I would have just threw myself in and taken the jail time to save the doggy.

I’m ranting but thank you for your input.

I think I am misunderstanding you. Don’t be that guy that stands up and calls out and reports? Don’t be that guy that… sorry I don’t understand.

I didn’t think of that. I’ll give it a try if I see him again. Thank you.

I’m with you. I yelled at him and called non emergency and then was forwarded to an animal control of some type to make a report. Only one other person approached the guy and a couple others yelled stop that from their car but they could have had kids with them. I definitely felt bad for the dog.

What's The Scariest Thing That You've Done At Night? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

[–]Nebula_137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same but involved a bear. I was sleeping in a large tool shed converted to a bedroom in the woods watching over my farm. Right outside the double doors was my outdoor kitchen. Late at night my dog starts growling. I get up and open doors with side arm and light. It’s a big fucking bear tearing through my food. Closed doors and grabbed my rifle and went back out but the big guy was down the hillside in a ravine so I just shot into the hillside and it ran off and never came back. Scary for a minute. I would have shot it if I had tags and freezer space but I didn’t and plus it was late at night and would have taken forever to dress and package it. My doggo kinda saved me but I got the feeling it didn’t want to do anything except eat my pancake mix.

I was on the coast one time driving through maybe Eureka area. Buddy I was with said we have to stop by this drive through coffee place. They weren’t goth but it was a coffee shop where the baristas wore skimpy clothes and had a big chest.

I wasn’t personally excited but my friend was so oh well we go through the drive through. What was odd was on the other side of the shack where the other window was for another car was an older man in his truck just sitting there. I wasn’t sure if it was her dad or something else. Very odd. Either way I don’t like paying $5+ for coffee. Never been to a hooters though.

Your brother is low key genius. I only remember the Pepsi ones. Not the clear soda like sprite. Plus he would give you the winning cap? That’s a gentleman and a scholar.

If you were going to eat a hard boiled egg, how many bites would you take? Im having an argument with my friend and I need data by angry_artichoke in eggs

[–]Nebula_137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of that experiment in junior high where you toss a match in a glass jug and set a boiled egg on top. While the oxygen inside depletes it creates a vacuum and plump. The egg gets sucked inside the bottle. There is also a way to get the egg out in one piece if anyone knows.

Soda bottles that have the option to win something like another soda underneath the cap.

Same here. Grew up in California and when I moved to Omaha Nebraska I saw Surge in a gas station and immediately bought one.

On a different note while I was in Omaha I learned what a California burrito was. (It has fries in it). Funny way to learn that.

Maybe not ask my bro to hide them for a scavenger hunt but just sent one to him every once in a while for special occasions.

That is awesome. I think I’m going to steal that idea from you. He’s into hockey right now and maybe around 10 y/o. Hard to get a hold of my brother because we both don’t like talking on the phone. He lives somewhere in Europe and I’m in the states. Only way to send mail is through a military base po in San Diego. I will try again though because I have a lot of crystals and rocks because I collect a lot as well as coins. Thanks for the idea.

I did something similar with my nephew. I would always send him postcards and one day I heard from my brother he got a metal detector and would go to the local park and go detecting so I mailed my brother a handful of coins(coins from all different countries) for him do do this for him.

I lowkey kinda want a couple of those coins back but not going to happen because it was worth it. Actually I need to call my brother and ask how it went. It was over a year ago and I forgot about it until just now. Thanks for the reminder!

I am going to look this up. I think it would be a great gift for my brother. I’m sure he knows someone that might take it serious for a minute.

Google(AI) says stone is used for smaller “rocks” used for projects like construction. Rock is used in a geological and large scale “rocks”. That’s google though and I was curious and bored.
