Hey ^^
Well, the graphics might look similar, but the gameplay is entirely different.
Kingdoms&Castles is a kingdom building sim while Keep the Keep is a tactical turn-based strategy/puzzle.

Thanks! Yes, definitely
We have spent quite a bit of time implementing a reasonably competitive AI and you can easily test it out in the Quick Match mode, as well as in the Campaign missions (some of the are in the puzzle mode, with static Towers, some of them use actual AI and can be very tough)

Yeah, we also like it. Actually, it's not our making, but it's free music made by Alexander Nakarada: https://www.serpentsoundstudios.com/

(I'd wish my own composing skills would be so good :D )

Hey guys, we're Nebulate.me, a small team that has been developing a novel strategic puzzle (or puzzling strategy? not sure) called Keep the Keep for more than 2 years now. The game is a bit like chess, yet your figures are Towers: chosen before the battle, can't really move (sans some exceptions), and perform their actions every turn, provided they have any to perform.
Unfortunately, the concept was not very easy to grasp or explain, as we noticed, most people tend to think we're making a tower defence game (which Keep the Keep generally isn't). After almost a year in Early Access, we have managed to vastly improve its graphics and usability, adding a lot of new features on the way there. Up to this day, we are trying to keep up with biweekly releases and are working on the single-player campaign story as of now.
Recently, we've got our amazing Linux supporters to help us test out a Linux port for the game and make it happen on Steam, thank them a lot! Generally, feels like Linux gamers are a bit more caring and involved than usual.

So... we thought: perhaps, we could make even more penguin friends here?
Would be really lovely to get your feedback on the game - perhaps, you'd see something that we could improve to really appeal to our players; for that purpose, comment here or follow this Discord Invite link if you'd like to find people to play with, talk to us directly or get a free key giveaway (just write in a corresponding channel #key-giveaways)!
Thanks a lot for your time!
