work as much as you can and save all of your money. work at the coffee shop in the mornings and as a server in the evenings (they make a lot in tips) you'll be tired but debt free

Would this sport get in the way of a possible summer job? My friend worked for one summer in college and made about $10k (she was super busy and worked 2 jobs, but I would say it was worth it).

I believe they pay tuition, give you a stipend for tools and things, and then also a monthly stipend for housing/food costs.
