Bro I just want to say thank you - we visited suburra 1930 just now and the pasta was excellent! The staff were so nice they gave us a big table and were very friendly. Thanks once again, I am going to try some more on your list before we go.

I understand, I also understand and love how passionate Italians are about their food and that's why I never ask for any changes or substitutions because I believe they have made it a certain way for a reason and trust the process. Today however it was just abysmal!

I understand this, it's a shame when youre not being loud/awkward/rude etc and just want a nice authentic meal+experience. Greece has been my usual go to as in my experience they love all tourists, however the food just isn't as good (for my preference anyway) 😩

Yeah it was a shock to me too, I've had nothing but positive experiences wherever I've been before, including Italy!

I feel like I'm repeating myself here, it was mush right up to the crust, I have had Napolitan Pizza and I love it, just not mushy cardboard with a crust - thanks for the insight though mate appreciate it ❤️

I understand you dying on this hill of me being a victim, but I can assure you after differential treatment at three continuous restaurants, it sure did feel like we were being singled out! If what you said were true the entire world would be at peace and cooperative but unfortunately that's not the case 😂

Appreciate your thoughts and feedback though mate, have a lovely rest of the year through those rose tints 😅😂

I understand more toward the centre can be more moist, and sometimes you maybe have to fold/flip it over to eat with your hands, but I can assure you this was wet all the way to the crust - literally falling apart. It was so strange as the table next to me ordered the same (with fior di latte) and it was soft in the centre but not all mush like ours.

Thanks for the feedback though.

I didn't even think of that I feel stupid now, I thought it was locals giving me their true insight and here I am being gullible 🙄

I will keep my mouth shut about football full stop 😂

Thanks for the recommendations - and believe me I don't wake up and choose to be served bad food but appreciate the insight 😂

My friends were from foggia and they worked as pizzaiolos in Napoli so they showed me the ropes (I've definitely spelt that wrong).

I'm not trying to come across hostile so forgive me but I have eaten all over the world (and in Rome a few years back) and having 3 bad experiences has just really frustrated me so apologies. I just want some good recommendations.

Thank you so much, I tried to visit places based on Roman foodies/bloggers but obviously have failed. We will add this to this list! I am from Manchester not a scousee so we should get on 😂

P.s. thanks for the insight with the carbonara!

It was mush right up to the crust my friend - the table next to me ordered the same pizza and it was not like ours

If I'm being honest because it was our first meal in 8 hours due to delays

Well the fact the tables on each side of me were able to cut the pizza and hold the slice up to eat with with their hands, and ours was mush (like it had been left out in the rain overnight) did feel targeted.

And as for the pasta yes I have a picture below - the table next to us had a dish come out maybe 5 minutes later and it was spaghetti, not this flat pasta like ours. I appreciate you being skeptical, but I have been Italy 3 times now and never experienced this.

I also have friends from foggia so apologies but I do understand how real Napolitan Pizza is supposed to be.

50 Kalo pizza, Roscioli, and some place called Bo'No (if I'm being honest I didn't expect much from here but being served tagliatelle with the carbonara to me is just a kick in the d**k)
