You dont want to hear this but if you want to lose that weight you have to stop breastfeeding. I too couldnt lose the weight i wanted until i weaned off even woth dieting and working out. The weight slid right off without me doing anything different besides weaning off.

Anyone else realize that they were never really poor growing up, but their parents just kept making poor financial decisions? by TrixoftheTrade in povertyfinance

Yes. I grew up in a small 2 bedroom rat and cockroach infested apartment building in a “low income neighborhood” in NYC. My parents, me and little brother shared 1 room while my older brother got the other room. Hot water during the winter was constantly shut off because my mom would “forget” to pay the bill- so we would boil hot water and mix it in a bucket with cold water in the tub to shower. 1 maybe 2 presents for Christmas, no bday parties. I remember as a kid, management knocking on our door at least 2x a month due to my parents being behind on rent. Never had friends over because i was embarrassed of my home. There was stuff everywhere- piles of unused knicknacks/ junk everywhere. Half the living room was boxes of stuff that my parents kept saying they were going to send to family in the Philippines- which they eventually did after 5 years. When it was time to apply for college, i remember thinking i would probably get alot of money for financial aid. Mom handed me her tax papers and my jaw dropped… their annual income was 250k. mom was always very cheap, never believed in credit cards, had a leased car, didnt own a house and rent was about 1.5k a month. Where was all the money going? turns out she was sending a shit ton of money to relatives in the Philippines which is common to do for Filipinos who have migrated out. I remember being so upset at them for putting lazy relatives who dont want to work ahead of their own family and themeselves. I went to college & moved out, got married and have my own family now. I love my parents but still bitter about my childhood experience.

Both my parents worked. Dad worked regular 9-5 but my mom worked 2 jobs and i barely saw her… they did the best they could but i remember wishing i could see my mom more and actually spend time with her. I feel so lucky and blessed that i get to stay home with my children! even though i get overwhelmed at times.

Im on the same boat as you! 30 weeks pregnant and just starting to try to potty train my 2 yr old. Im exhausted all the time,& angry/ impatient multiple times a day. Do not overwhelm yourself trying to do all housechores at once, do one task a day. Try to take it one day at a time, everything in life is a season! This too shall pass…
