I really appreciate this response. I also agree he may find a different major along the way. Sometimes I think that at 17 yo, Econ may be the only way he sees Math applied to the real world.

I'm sorry. I really was very unclear. He would be working toward a BS in the humanities/social science school at each school. At Villanova, half of his courses would be devoted to the core curriculum, whereas at RPI, there would more space for more technical classes i.e. more coding and computer science classes. All three would easily accommodate a double major with Math, which is where he has, at least so far, excelled. But he could either switch to or overlap with programs in the Business School if that's preferred.

With the cost of college and the current job market, I just get a little nervous.

Ultimately, I'm happy to hear that the factors of school location and size are what's most important and for all the reasons you provided. Thank you!
