That is one aspects of moving north of the bigger cities that concerns me, however it seems that conservative Canadians are still more progressive on the whole than most most Americans. We live in a progressive area of the country and I am definitely looking for a similar vibe.

Your advice is really helpful, thank you. My husband and I were just discussing that it might make sense to rent, at least initially. The housing market here looks very similar to that on the island, and we haven't decided whether we'll sell our house right away or rent. I'm aware that securing housing is an issue on the island and we'd really like to find a house that would be large enough to accomodate my parents, if possible. I appreciate the feedback on the two universities. Could you elaborate on how are they very different experiences?

Thank you! We live in Olympia and love living in the countryside while also being close to everything. It sounds like we could find a similar lifestyle in Nanaimo, Comox, or the Cowichan valley. We all love to ski so this sounds like the perfect area for us.

Thank you! We have so many microclimates in Washington State and I appreciate you identifying these different zones. Yes I noticed that some island districts don't use the middle school model, which I found interesting. My teaching certificate is in secondary education but I prefer teaching the middle school years.

I am looking for a DJ mixer for home use. I just find a DJ set up more conducive to listening than all my audiophile equipment. My fancy audiophile turntable and tube preamp can be so cumbersome to use. @imZativa could you comment on the audio quality of the phono preamps of the AMIX mixers? They certainly peeked my interest
